Herkimer Diamond KOA Resort Reviews
We rented a deluxe tent site beside the creek. The campground is small and the grounds appear well kept. The bath house was not a good experience at all. Stinky, moldy, toilet separated from flooring, dirty shower as well so I did not go back which was a bit difficult but we managed. The website says the restaurant is open however it has no roof and is not open. Food selection is very limited but there is a good grocery store in Herkimer.
Jun 17, 2025 · Mary FoxWe had a "glamping pod" and it was a lot of fun. Private bathroom and shower with unlimited hot water, and the bed was surprisingly comfy. Clean, comfy. TINY though (we joked that it was a tad larger than the hotel room we had near Times Square, which is true). They could improve by adding a shelf above bathroom door for luggage/bags. The WiFi is pretty terrible on the mountain. The pricing feels a little ridiculous, but you have access to the resort stuff (pool, community area), so the more experience you seek, the greater the value. Quiet, comfy, peacefully, enjoyable.
Jun 03, 2025 · Jeffrey DeanHerkimer KOA campground is an awesome place to stay for a vacation or just a weekend. Especially if you are going mining at Herkimer diamond mine or other nearby mine. KOA has a ton of activities and amenities on site. From tubing down the West Canada Creek to swimming to disc golf and food trucks. There's a little something for everyone here. The camp store has a ton of supplies to make your camping trip easy and fun. The campground is directly across the street from the Herkimer Diamond Mine, so there is no need to pack the car for a day of fun. Just cross the street! Safely, of course.. Once you're done at the Mine, come back and enjoy all the KOA has to offer.
