This is a nice park, where the attendant in the main office/store was pleasant and answers our questions both in person and over the phone. Sometimes I’ve had strange issues trying to speak to a person and then they have an attitude when you get them on the phone, but not here. There is bridge construction closing down parts of the main park, but this specific part, hen house ridge, is fully open with camping spots, RV spaces and what looked like cabins. There is a day use area where we went swimming. The swimming area is blocked off from the lake with buoys, and the bottom of the lake has sand there which makes it nice. The entrance to the swimming area, that you walk down into the water through, is concrete. The water was especially cold on this 80 degree day, but the overcast sky was nice. The day use area was family friendly, with kids playing and birds chirping and music playing. The bathroom was a short walk away. - Graham Pointer
