"Great campground. My kids had a great time," shares one happy parent, echoing the sentiments of many who have experienced the family-friendly vibe of Hause Creek. The simple joys of camping are amplified here, with plenty of space for children to explore and play. As another family noted, "My family and I camped at Hause Creek over the weekend and we had a blast. We stayed in site 22. Very spacious and we were close to the water." The generous site sizes are a significant plus, ensuring comfort and privacy for all campers.
While the immediate river access might be "a little too fast for the kids to swim and obviously too cold right now," as one review points out, savvy campers can "walk up and down you may be able to find a little spot where they can dip their feet during the hotter months." This adaptability to the natural environment is part of the charm. Moreover, the campground caters to active families: "The kids took their bikes and had a lot of fun riding those around the park." This highlights the space and safe environment available for various activities within the campground itself.
Adding to the positive experience are the dedicated individuals who help make your stay enjoyable. "Camp host were really friendly as well!" a review confirms, emphasizing the supportive and welcoming community at Hause Creek. And for those last-minute necessities, convenience is surprisingly close: "There’s a little store less than 5 minutes away that sells some basic supplies and ice." While cell service can be intermittent, as is often the case in beautiful natural settings, this simply reinforces the opportunity to truly disconnect and immerse yourself in the great outdoors.

May 02, 2021 · Sara DiazI camped at site #38. I was a little disappointed that the map on recreation.gov showed its location somewhere else, nevertheless the sites are quite large. There are two general areas - the bottom loop and the upper loop. The upper loop is next to US12, the lower loop is right on the Tieton river. The river is pretty fast moving so not a place to go swimming. The highway isn't too busy and didn't keep us up at night. The campground generally was clean and looked well maintained. The facilities were still closed but there were port-a-potties everywhere. No running water just as advertised.Despite the misinformed location of my campsite I was very pleased with my stay. The camp host was very friendly and was willing and able to answer any questions I had.
Jul 29, 2019 · Paul L (databaseguy17)Spot #40. Went during the week, early June and had the whole upper loop to ourselves. Camp host was very friendly. Nice sloping meadow and trail to river and creek behind. Some noise from roadway but mostly covered by the sound of the river. Great place to take dogs.
