Harry L Swartz Campground Reviews
Campsites are spacious and clean. Electric hookup. Area is mowed and tidy. No problems will we were there. While we have two dogs but did not bring either of them this time, we would love to bring next time, plenty of dog friendly space to walk them. Each area and playground are was nice. Not fault of the campground but others need to respect other campers, loud talking, yappie dog barking for continuous amount of time was definitely annoying but that is just disrespectful campers. They have wood and ice for sale on site. Water filling station and dump station available.Definitely will be back.
Jun 15, 2025 · Christine AndersonWe stayed here two nights, and I really wish we had left after the first night. The campground itself is very well maintained, it was easy to book online, the fishing with two small kids had lots of action, and the hosts are kind. I appreciated showers and flushing toilets at the shower house.Unfortunately, the people visiting here ruined it. Swearing, screaming, loud music from trucks until 2am- at one point I wanted to call the police because the site next to us had a man yelling at a woman about punching her, then blood curdling screams at the top of her lungs. I was SCARED. This happened both nights we were there. On top of it there were teenagers (I don’t think they were staying there, just locals visiting the free swimming lake) having $ex in the murky water in front of families and children at 3pm. What kind of alternative universe did I step into?! Really awful experience.
Jun 24, 2025 · Meagan FricanoCampsites are clean, great family camping area. All sites are semi private so made it even nicer.
Aug 12, 2024 · Zech YadenGood little campground for an adventure. The kids liked the trails and loved the beach. We heard mixed things about the beach, but when we visited the water was decent and the beach was nice and sandy (free of goose droppings, etc.) The shower house at the beach is the only bathroom we found with plumbing; others are the pedestal over a hole in the ground - very smelly in the heat of late June. Other than the bathrooms, it was a fun time. We're already planning the next one!
