★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1The campsites are big, it’s quiet, there’s enough people to not feel too scared of the bears, but make sure to follow ALL listed precautions and use the bear boxes for all food, drinks, and toiletries. It IS rather far from the main animal sighting areas like Hayden valley, but west thumb has a neat little boardwalk look with some thermal activity, and it isn’t far from all the other geyser things. Maybe stay here a few nights and at a campground further north if Grizzly and Wolves are on your must see list. Otherwise you’ll have a bit of a drive back. My parents and I were able to book an RV site and it had enough room for 2 8x8 tents and two Priuses. The showers are great. There’s lots of shops and cute places to see. The restaurant requires reservations in advance, the lake house one does not. The general store has food as well no redervation. And the checkin for camping sells kindling and firewood ($10). Showers are free with no time limit. We will be back. It’s lovely here and right next to the lake. There’s also Verizon cell service throughout the campground.
June 29 · Laura RossGreat experience! About 30 minutes from Old Faithful. The campground was easy to find. Lots of amenities. The registration staff was kind and helpful. We set up our tent, started a fire, the site was dark, quiet, and we all slept well. Would definitely camp there again! Highly recommend.
July 15 · Micah SimpsonGrant Village Campground is on the edge of Yellowstone Lake. It has beautiful trees, and spacious sites. Restrooms were clean and heated, important because it was cold and snowy on June 22.
July 21 · Mary Ann MillerI spent three days here and I was pleasantly surprised with the customer service at check in and at the laundry/shower areas. When I checked in Jessica and Tex worked with me to find a campsite that was not 100% shaded as I have roof solar panels that power the inside of my van. The site was perfect in B loop. The laundry and shower areas were very clean. The ladies running that were very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this campground for any people visiting the park and I will stay here again.
June 17 · Stacey AnnWe had a great experience at this campground. It is beautiful and well-maintained. The bathrooms were close by and the shower system was easy to use. We were very happy with the registration hours and being able to arrive late. We also loved having easy lake access! The only downside for us was not having an electrical outlet at our campsite. Overall though it was a lovely spot and we will definitely be back again!
