Goose Bay Marina & Campground

300 Goose Bay Ln, Townsend, MT 59644, USA

4.0
Clean campground and site #50 was level. Sewer hookup is threaded (not cross threaded) and water pressure was roughly 55 p.s.i. with 3050110 outlets. The restrooms were clean and the gravel paths throughout the park smooth. The ladies in the store were friendly, courteous and engaging. The store/office is not a Walmart so keep the expectations to what you’d find at an average campsite mercantile. There’s not much for shade and the trash receptacles are 33 gallon size cans, no dumpsters visible. There’s an RV dump island with flush for $10 a visit if you’re camping nearby and don’t want hookups. The standard rate for full service is roughly $38 per night. Although this location falls under the Bureau of Reclamation, the Interagency Annual Pass (America the Beautiful pass) is not honored here.We comfortably fit a 40’ Class A with toad and nothing was tight, leaning or concerning with the road in or around the park.I’d give it 5 stars but my fire pit wasn’t cleaned from the previous guest. Not a big fan lighting whatever’s in a pit that I have no clue off.Be warned, if you inspect your site for fit and function prior to checking in, you’ll get a slight browbeating. Not a big deal but the site host didn’t seem to understand folks pulling toads often want to verify they can navigate/fit rather than blindly nodding everything’s good sight unseen. - Vincent Sheridan
