★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Greatest experience! We had an absolutely wonderful experience staying at Strawberry Reservoir in Campsite Loop A! From the moment we arrived, our hosts, Jim and Judy, made us feel so welcome and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. The campsite itself was beautiful—immaculate, peaceful, and surrounded by nature and a beautiful lake, making it the perfect getaway. Both Jim and Judy are incredibly friendly and attentive, offering great recommendations for hikes, telling us about movie nights for the kids, and even checking in to make sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. They even took time on their day off to paint with my kids- which meant the world to them and to me. Jim and Judy clearly take pride in their campsite, as everything was well-maintained and organized, including nice, clean bathrooms. This was a summer family vacation that we will never forget.Jim and Judy helped make it the perfect place to relax and enjoy our family vacation time with amazing hospitality to match. We'll definitely be back!
July 21 · Heidi Broderick⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️We had such a wonderful experience thanks to the amazing campground hosts — Jim & Judy at Strawberry Reservoir who truly went above and beyond. They were so kind, welcoming, and full of joy. You could tell they genuinely love what they do. They were especially great with kids, always smiling and making little moments special for the younger campers. It made our stay feel extra comfortable and family-friendly. We’re so grateful for their hospitality and would absolutely stay here again!
July 06 · Sami SteeleWe have been in loop D for years. Brad is the best camp host. He is helpful with everything. Every year I have been up here we always hope for Brad. We look forward to seeing himself and his wife each year. The bathroom’s are always so clean and they do such a good job all around!!!
July 24 · Scott dA Most Unfortunate Excursion, or: The Shuttle, The Trash, and The Tablet of DestinyAn unnecessarily dramatic account, as told by Sir Reginald Bumblestoke, Esq., B.A. (Hons), Misinformed⸻Act I: The Pint-Sized OracleOur tale begins with a small woman of dubious timetable authority, no taller than a fire hydrant and twice as confident.“There’s a shuttle every 20 minutes,” she declared, arms folded with the righteousness of someone who had definitely just made that up.We nodded, grateful for her confidence, and perhaps a little hypnotized by her mystical air of having once managed a library.⸻Act II: The Arrival of the Trash ChariotEventually, the shuttle arrived. Or perhaps it was a mobile landfill. We climbed aboard with the weary hope of people who hadn’t read the reviews.Seats were discovered beneath refuse. A rogue sock bit one of us.We sat. It was damp. One of us wept quietly into an empty granola wrapper.⸻Act III: The Waiting DeadHike completed, spirits moderately bruised, we returned to the trailhead. And waited. And waited.Clouds formed, rained, and dissipated. A marmot opened a food truck. We began to ponder the value of time, existence, and shuttle logistics. At last, driven by desperation and increasingly dramatic internal monologues, we began hiking down the canyon road—a pilgrimage of disillusionment.⸻Act IV: Return of the Shuttle (and the Truth Revealed)As we descended in sweaty defiance, the shuttle approached like a mirage in Crocs. We flagged it down. It stopped. And there she was: the small prophetess herself, behind the wheel! With the serenity of a monk and the timing of a tragic playwright, she leaned out the window and said:“Oh, I just popped out to get my tablet.”We blinked. We nodded.Of course she did. One does not shuttle people without their sacred digital rectangle. She drove on. We resumed our descent. There were no words. Only the faint echo of destiny… and a pigeon laughing somewhere.Ok that’s maybe not exactly how it happened but it’s more entertaining than the actual experience written disappointing step after disappointing step :( I’d happily pay double and get what was described.
May 26 · Richard MahonBrad & Kim are very personable and helpful. We have had several trailer issue and they are always very helpful. We have been long term campers at strawberry bay for over 10 years and they are one of the best hosts we have had, we never worry about leaving our trailer when we are not there.
