Giant City Class A Campground Reviews
Lots of space at each camp site, most spots are pretty level bathrooms and showers are clean, and roads are paved (great for bike riding)! Beautiful area of Southern, Illinois.
Jun 18, 2025 · Carla LanganWe camped in the Class A Campground in a pull through site - #41 - with 50 amp electric hookup. It was fairly level new asphalt and shaded with firepit and picnic table. No sites have water hook-up but water is available at the dump station for filling tanks, which is near the entrance to the campground. The park was quiet during the week - and busier and a little noiser on the weekend. But still, a nice stay. Love all the hiking trails! Verizon cell service was OK.
May 20, 2024 · Susan SchwadererDump station is easy to use coming in and out. Shower building is okay-ish. Pit toilets are stocked with TP and are located throughout the campground, but no hand sanitizer. Sites are VERY close for a state park. Site 7 is a great site.
Nov 30, 2024 · Russell MillesWe had a great time. Very nice quiet campground in the evening. Great for kids during the day. Very pet friendly. The staff is very nice. The camp host was not available at all during our stay. We had to go by our own firewood down the road. bathrooms were clean and amenities for good. 30$ a night power class a site 30 amp.
Jun 21, 2022 · B MetzgerGreat campground with lots of trees and space between sites. The host were very good. Lots of hiking close at hand and great food and drink at the nearby lodge.
