Another amazing Texas park. Stayed in RV at campsite 43. Every spot is a great spot when you’re next to the ocean. You can hear the ocean from camp, it’s a super short walk to the beach, and the grounds are maintained super well.Concrete pads are still new looking, and pretty level. We didn’t have to do much leveling out.If you’re tent camping, coming for kayaking, paddle boarding, or want to be closer to trails, get a spot on the north side of the park. RV spots and tent spots on the south side, closer to the beach. - J Q

This article is your comprehensive guide to this celebrated Texas state park, providing a clear and factual overview of its campgrounds, amenities, and recreational opportunities. Galveston Island State Park is a renowned destination that provides a distinct camping experience, bridging the gap between a wild beach and a well-equipped park. It is a testament to the state's commitment to preserving natural beauty while making it accessible to the public.
