Location and Accessibility
Gaggs Camp Campground is wonderfully situated in Bass Lake, CA 93604, USA. This address places it within a region renowned for its natural beauty, yet Gaggs Camp itself offers a more secluded and authentic experience away from the busier areas. For Californians, particularly those residing in the Central Valley or Southern California, the journey to Bass Lake is a well-trodden path, hinting at the adventure that awaits beyond the main thoroughfares. However, it's crucial for visitors to understand that while the general area is accessible, getting to Gaggs Camp itself presents a unique challenge that contributes to its remote charm.
Reviews from long-time campers consistently highlight that the roads leading into Gaggs Camp are "very tight," making it difficult, if not impossible, for large RVs and trailers to navigate. Therefore, visitors should be prepared for a rustic approach and consider smaller vehicles or tent camping to truly enjoy this secluded Californian gem. Gaggs Camp Campground Reviews
We love Gaggs campground. Our family has been camping there for 40 plus years, camping and hunting season. We are older now. So Now we take our 24ft travel trailer. Yes, its a little tight getting it up there, but it can be done. No hookups. Dry camping. Use what you have. Enjoy nature
May 15, 2025 · Sandra FloresBest getaway ever, enjoy the granite waterslides and pools. Water is crystal clear and clean. I've been going to Gaggs camp for 40 years. I highly recommend it if you want fresh air and peace and quiet. Large RVs and trailers will not be able to drive in, the roads are very tight. 18 ft trailer is hard to get in. No electric or running water. Be prepared. Pack out your trash and please don't litter.
Feb 23, 2025 · Robert MaherBeautiful area nice stream to discover. The road to Beasore road is barely a road. The better road is central camp road. Twelve miles at 15 miles an hour. There is no water at the camp.
