Freedom Hills Campground Reviews
Not a campground at all, unless you want to tent camp in an open field. You have to ask yourself, why is there a campground without camping spaces, no water or sewer hook-ups or electricity? This is simply a front for a swinger's club, nothing more.
Jan 20, 2025 · Vintage F/FChad and Jessica Farley are some of the nicest people on this planet! Our college group thoroughly enjoyed our stay at their campground as they were such supportive and welcoming hosts. It was also really convenient to stay at their place since it was so close to the Obed climbing area.
Mar 13, 2023 · Noah MeekerChad is a friend, dedicated American Veteran, and wonderful host to all that visit him and his establishment.I have stayed in camper and enjoyed the surrounding atmosphere. He and his family are there to make you feel at home. Bring you tent and kids and enjoy the mountains. You won’t find a more family friendly area.
Aug 20, 2023 · Dane SnowdenFreedom Hills is a fantastic spot! When we began preparing for our Thanksgiving climbing trip we were sad to hear the Lilly Pad was closed this season, but luckily we stumbled across Freedom Hills and its terrific owners, Chad and Jessica Farley. The campsite is still being developed, so there were a few areas under construction, but we were given free camping and free breakfast because of this! Chad and Jessica were incredibly welcoming and kind, and though they are not climbers themselves they were very excited to have us and have already designated a specific area for climber camping. They also have begun developing boulder projects near their area, and we had a very enjoyable day exploring new boulders with their resident setter Elliot. It is an easy 10 minute drive to all of the significant Obed climbing parking lots, and we felt extremely lucky to have such an ideal situation during our stay. On top of it all, Chad and Jessica went above and beyond as hosts, driving out late at night to give us hot chocolate and smores makings, or setting up a taco bar Thanksgiving night! We were blown away by their generosity... Many of the profits from this enterprise will be going towards the Wounded Warriors program, so there's really no excuse not to give these folks your money! I can't wait to come back here, as they have big plans to add various facilities, and we may try the tents and cabins that they are adding to the property for visitors. This is a phenomenal outdoor space that is only getting better, and regardless of your interest Chad and Jessica will do everything they can to accommodate you. We will definitely be returning next time we are climbing in the area.
Nov 30, 2020 · Edward WaltersChad and Jessica are the kindest most hospitable people I've ever met. We had originally planned on tent camping, and the weather at night was dipping down into 15⁰/20⁰. Chad offered us to stay in a cabin for no extra charge since it was open and a lot warmer than sleeping in a tent in that kind of weather. We were really thankful he let us! Jessica also cooked us some delicious food and had breakfast for us every morning :) . As for the campground, it has a really beautiful view and their goals for freedom hills as a community center are inspiring. They want to do community outreach offering climbing, mountain biking, kayaking, and even have a drive in theater. Thanks guys for an awesome time, I'm excited to see what this place looks like in the coming years!
