Fredericksburg / Washington DC South KOA Holiday Reviews
Extremely clean campground from bathrooms to the campground itself. Quiet, wooded lots. We were on an electric/water tent site and the tent pads were level and well groomed. With only two days in the area, we found plenty to do in Fredericksburg with the historic sites/tours and the shops/restaurants. There is a lot of history packed in a small area - we definitely recommend Hughes Apothecary shop for a looksee. The campground was quiet, people were friendly but not intrusive.
Jun 09, 2025 · Tina Curran-TaylorWe came to meet a dear friend of ours for the weekend. Had a great time. The campground is really nice. Clean quiet plenty to do for the kids. I tried to get everyone on the deer train but they didn't want to. Look forward to going back sometime. Thanks JoMc and Alyce love you guys.
May 26, 2025 · Charlie TKOA Campground secluded at least 5 miles from the main highway which isn't normal compared to other KOA ones that we have stayed. The sites are a bit too close to one another but clean we'll looked after.Only one complaint. The showers in the bathhouse have no pressure and the water doesn't reach a desirable temperature.
Apr 24, 2025 · John VAbsolutely incredible grounds. Very secluded and quiet. Well stocked store with all the right stuff. Wi-Fi worked amazingly well. And most importantly, amazing staff. Our first KOA experience was a home run.
May 03, 2025 · John MastorakisWe travel around the U.S., Mexico and Canada with our 5 dogs. We usually seek out KOAs because we feel welcome with that many dogs and there usually aren’t any ridiculous limits on how many dogs you can have. We felt welcome at this campground - they even charged us $2.00 per dog which I was completely happy to pay rather than be turned away. Nice grounds for walking, beautiful pond, nice fenced in dog run. Only criticism: After hours available sites were posted but there should be a map or an envelope you can take so that the spot you picked is clearly not available anymore. If the available sites are just posted I can pick a spot and somebody else might be in it.
