First, the staff are very nice! The grounds are well maintained and there is some fantastic activities for the whole family. It’s pet friendly (even though we don’t have any ourselves).Getting to the campground is easy, although the sign pointing you to the correct road from Route 52 could be bigger for new campers. My husband had a blast at the fishing pond and I got to sit at the camper and read lol. The areas around the campsites are big too.
May 21, 2025 · Mindi StewartThis is our second time camping at Riverview KOA and it was as wonderful as the first time. The views are beautiful, the staff is friendly, and the facilities are well kept and modern. We enjoyed fishing in the pond, walking the grounds, and our little boy loved the large playground. We had a wonderful and relaxing weekend. We'll definitely be back!
Mar 23, 2025 · Stephanie DavisWe stayed here for one night in our RV on our way to VA. The service was spectacular! The gentleman at the desk searched through his spare parts to try and save us a trip to the hardware store to make a repair. Above and beyond! The grounds are well maintained and the K9 Kamp is nice for our 4 legged family members with shade and a bench for the 2 legged ones. We plan to return often!
May 19, 2025 · Heather WaldoWe absolutely loved our stay! The place was beautiful and spotless, and the staff was so friendly and welcoming. We highly recommend it!
Apr 25, 2025 · Jeannette MuratiFranklin Furnace KOA is a great hidden gem! Right off the Ohio River! We loved our River site, close to river access, great view, and loved watching all the large boats!Quiet camp ground, however you can somewhat hear the high way and constant trains. You can see many trains go by the campground. There is a lock that you can also see from the campground. The campground had a really large playground. We had a pretty level site. The road to the KOA is a little odd, but very well marked with signs.Only minutes for Kentucky and West Virginia. We used this campground as a base to see Hocking Hills and New River Gorge National Park.Great place and would recommend!
