Fox Fire Riverside Campground Reviews
We had a great time! Beautiful campground. The manager was very nice and helpful. He let us know where our spot was and also made us aware of some rain that was in the forecast. Also, where to put the money for ice. Great pavilion and we cooked there twice. We stayed two nights and went whitewater rafting one day and hiking the next day.
May 11, 2025 · Dale RoyseEvery other weekend over the summer we love to camp here as it is only 1 1/2 hours from our home in Asheville. The staff is always unobtrusive & friendly. The nature & privacy is unbeatable. Pre-helene we swam often in the attached Pigeon River... gorgeous!**Showers & restrooms always very clean too!
Jun 13, 2025 · IMercNightNot a very good experience. We were quoted one price and arrived to find the price was higher. After staying for a few months for work campground representatives wanted to raise the rates again. Also the camper on the end had the campground sewer line explode all over there site twice. Campground representatives just put lime on the sewage and left it.
Feb 20, 2025 · Joe StevenerRiverside spots are very nice and there is a nice, dense canopy of trees high above for shade. Very close to the corner stores for food and drinks. The bathrooms and showers were cleaned every day that I was there. Showers have wooden floorboards with spacing in between that can feel harsh on bare feet. Very clean, just bring sandals for the showers for comfort anyways. Great place! Sites 1-3 were where we stayed.
Aug 22, 2024 · Michael PefferAbsolutely wonderful. Open all year. James and I were traveling to N.C and needed to rest for the night. Scott and his wife were very accommodating. We stayed overnight in r.v spot in our sprinter van. Electricity and water available.Restrooms and showers were cold in there but not due to the hosts not trying. Just a large room to keep warm.Cozy cabins available to rent.Tent campground was unavailable at the time we were there due to ice at the time. Still plenty of space. As for the recent posts about people living on the property. There are several campers on grounds, however, it was nice and neat and very quiet while we were there. Will stay there again, Loved it!
