Fourche Lake Recreation Area is located near Doniphan, MO 63935, USA, deep within the Mark Twain National Forest. Its exact coordinates (Latitude: 36.638955, Longitude: -91.056833) place it in a beautiful, somewhat secluded part of Ripley County. To access this tranquil spot from Doniphan, you'll typically take US Highway 160 west for approximately 15.7 miles and then turn left onto V Highway. You'll stay on V Highway for about 2.5 miles until you see the sign for Fourche Lake on your left. The road leading into the recreation area itself is a one-lane gravel road with some washes, which while traversable for most vehicles, may require careful navigation, especially for larger units or trailers. Apr 25, 2025 · James JenkinsNice place to visit. I enjoy fishing for little breem from the pier. Good rustic campsites. Quiet and peaceful here. Boat ramp for launching boats to explore 49 acres of lake. Great fishing from a boat.
Aug 12, 2021 · Mark CoffeyI love this place. I caught a 5 lb catfish on my birthday & made a day of it at the lake. Will be going again soon!! I caught more fish than my boyfriend, but who's keeping track?? Well, I am as a matter of fact. That's who. Lol
Feb 09, 2024 · Kayti FunkenI love this place, but google Maps will try to take you down v-1. This is a dead end road that used to be a county road. The entrance is a mile further where the Fourche Lake sign is. People are horrible, I picked up over ten large bags of trash. Don't be an ass, leave no trace behind!
