Flambeau Lodge and Campground Reviews
Bring your own pots/pans from home if you want to cook in the cabin, the ones provided are not in great shape or plentiful. Same goes for cups and whatnot! Super helpful owner, very responsive. Really nice guy, always joking around/trying to get a laugh from ya. Right on/close to the river, beautiful scenery everywhere. If you are partial to internet, this is not the place for you. No cell reception down those back roads, thank goodness!!!! :)
Nov 25, 2024 · ChaseCamped here with the family over Memorial day weekend 2018. If you are looking for something off the beaten path, this is it! No cell phone reception but who cares! The view of the river was great. Not all the electrical hook ups worked but we didn't care. The bar had water that we could fill up our campers with and a dumping station. This is what back woods Wisconsin is about! Get ready to go off the grid when you get here. Disconnect from the digital world and connect with nature!2019 Update: New Owners. Loud music from bar at all hours of the night. A lot less family friendly this year.
Jun 01, 2019 · Hanna PieperIn 2019 my family and I took a camping trip to Ladysmith Wisconsin and one of the spots we stopped at was the Flambeau LodgeCampground. While visiting we weren't very impressed because both owner's were drunk the whole weekend. They didn't take care of anything or even seem to care. All they wanted to do is drink and party. Not to mention they didn't have any amenities available and no assigned camping spots or anything. In my opinion I would not recommend this place to others.
Sep 19, 2021 · Fred Peaks OutdoorsBeautiful views, good food friendly atmosphere. The multitude of Humming birds are amazing to watch. Owner / bartender should maybe drink a little less. Ok, the place is sold again...... another guy with great ideas and ambition with a passion for drinking. I really hope he can accomplish what he has in mind. The food was good, with good prices. The menu is very limited, as are the alcohol choices. The staff seems friendly enough but needs more training/guidance to bring them up to par with the nearby competition down river.
Aug 31, 2017 · H MetzStopped in for their Friday night fish fry and it was yummy. Two big pieces of fish and homemade fries. I had a couple of bourbons, the glasses were clean and the ice was cold. Best yet the price was right. If you are up in the Flambeau Forest I would recommend to stop in for their fish fry.
