Fisherman's Corner Reviews
Made a Memorial Day reservation for tent camping, we have a tent on top of our truck bed. Usually we don’t have an issue. We weren’t able to park anywhere near the spot. Would have had to set up the tent on the edge of the parking area with all our kitchen set up and everything, not near our spot and far from the fire ring and table. The owners tried to come up with ideas for us, but it was just inconvenient. I guess I should have booked a camper spot. It’s Memorial Day weekend so everything else was full. I was also asked to park farther from our spot because “people with actual tents will need those spots.” It’s a beautiful location. I’m sure with the right equipment it could have been a great weekend. I canceled because they couldn’t truly accommodate; I got back $18 of my $42 reservation and a $24 cancellation fee. :’) just some clarification on the reservation would have been nice.
May 23, 2025 · Maggie WeidemannUnfortunately they had an insect infestation. As a result it was miserable. Great location! Would love to visit the campground after the insects died off!
May 18, 2025 · Ted MachFisherman’s corner Campground is closed for the winter months. I have pictures of the Campground and photos of the recreational picnic area . Fisherman corner recreational picnic area is open year round (its the first road to your right, headed south from the campground ) No camping! It’s a nice little picnic area. It looks to be taken care of and well groomed. Picnic tables and pit toilet.. nice little spot to relax. Fisherman’s corner Campground is actually a pretty nice campground good amount of trees scattered about here and there . even though it is a typical parking lot/ trailer park camping. It looks pretty nice. The only downfall is from the railroad tracks to the river is approximately 150 yards . So if peacefulness is not a priority, then you’ll like this type of Campground . Dec 30, 2024 · nathan goodfellowMy granddaughter & I stayed at site 29. The host couple was very nice. They showed concern for all visitors there, especially when the tornado warning sirens went off. They gave clear safety locations to everyone. The grounds were well kept as well as the bathrooms. We shared a spot with 28. However, we still felt we had privacy. Our RV neighbors were nice, too, offering us shelter from the storm. Even though we left early (because of the weather), we will def come back to this location.
Jul 07, 2024 · pamela mcelroyConvinient location just off the highway and nice to be on the Mississippi. Road traffic can be loud if you’re in a tent and picks up around 4-5am. Showers were a bit disappointing but I mean they’re campground showers and were free and the water was mostly warm so can’t complain about too much. Campground is cheap tho and in terms of people nice and quiet
