★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I didn’t stay at Ferncrest Acadia (yet!), but I had the chance to tour the property and see the vision behind it and WOW. Even under construction, you can already tell it’s going to be something special. The layout is dreamy, the location is peaceful but still close to all the beauty of Acadia, and the design plans are next level. It’s giving luxury meets cozy forest retreat. Think mountain vibes, but with a deep respect for the surrounding nature. I’ll absolutely be one of the first to book as soon as reservations open and I have a feeling it’s going to sell out fast once people catch on.Ferncrest is going to be the spot. Can’t wait to come back when it’s finished!
July 18 · Nature in her EyesMy family and I were fortunate to get a sneak peek as one of the first to stay at Ferncrest Acadia! Awesome spot, near a beautiful lookout for pictures, close to food- check out The lobster Lady 🦞. We spent time in downtown Stonington about a 20 min drive (watched a play at the opera house, went to a touch tank, farmers market, downtown shops & restaurants that overlook the fishing harbor). It was always nice to come back to our private dome site with everything you could need! Modern indoor feel while still having the camping vibe with a fire & s’mores in the evening under the big open sky filled with stars :) The owner (Caleb) and Manager/Host (Shanti) were both wonderful and extremely helpful with nearby recommendations. Looking forward to returning again!
July 17 · Amber CasavantA hidden gem near Acadia! We absolutely loved our stay at Ferncrest Acadia! The campground is beautifully maintained, peaceful, and perfectly located for exploring the Blue Hill Peninsula and Acadia National Park. The sites are spacious and private, and the amenities (like the clean bathhouses and walking trails) made our stay so comfortable. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable about the area. We especially appreciated the little touches — fresh blueberries, starry skies, and the quiet serenity of nature. Can’t wait to come back next season!
July 16 · Sierra Bisson. So glad this place opened up near me! Ferncrest is fresh, new, and absolutely beautiful — tucked between the forest and the blueberry barrens. It feels private, peaceful, and thoughtfully done. Everything was clean, comfortable, and inviting. You can tell a lot of care went into creating this space. It’s the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the quiet. I’ll definitely be back!
