Nice quiet place to camp. I came with my 2 daughters, and we set up a tent. It's awesome to be able to wake up and sleep at the beach and be able to see the ocean, too. We used the fire ring. It was awesome having a small fire in the morning and night. We use the restroom here. They are very clean. There are showers. We didn't use them. There is a little cafe here. It's closed on Monday. I really was looking forward to trying an IPA they offer. Next time I come back, I'll try a few. I did make reservations online for my space. I made it a month ago. I hope to be back in 3 months or so. - Annette Grimes

Location and Accessibility

Faria State Beach is ideally situated at 4350 Pacific Coast Hwy, Ventura, CA 93001, USA. This prime location places it directly along one of California's most iconic scenic routes, the Pacific Coast Highway (PCH), making it incredibly accessible for those traveling from various parts of the state. For Californians living in Southern California, particularly in the greater Los Angeles area or Santa Barbara, the drive to Faria State Beach is relatively straightforward and scenic, typically without the extended travel times often associated with more remote campgrounds.

The campground's direct placement on the Pacific Coast Highway means that access is simple, whether you're arriving in a car, an RV, or with a travel trailer. While it offers a feeling of being away from it all, it remains conveniently close to the city of Ventura, approximately 7 miles away. This proximity ensures that campers have easy access to a wider range of services, supplies, dining options, and attractions should they need them, striking a perfect balance between natural retreat and urban convenience.

The location also provides stunning panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean and, on clear days, the Channel Islands are visible, offering breathtaking vistas, especially at dusk. This direct oceanfront setting is a significant draw, allowing campers immediate access to the beach for various activities. Although the beach can be rocky in some areas, especially at high tide, lower tides often reveal sandy stretches and tide pools to explore. It's important for visitors to be aware of the changing tides and water conditions, as some areas may have brown water after significant rainfall due to runoff. However, Ventura County typically monitors water quality, and current information can be checked through local health department hotlines or websites.

The convenience of its location right off the PCH also means that Faria State Beach serves as an excellent base for exploring other coastal attractions and towns in Ventura and Santa Barbara counties, making it a highly desirable spot for Californians planning a coastal road trip or a weekend escape.
