I really enjoyed swimming at this river spot! The water was great, the area was clean, and it felt like a peaceful place to relax. That said, I wanted to share a few things that could make the experience smoother for first time visitors. We aren’t from the area and no one with us was familiar with this spot. We actually just found it on Google Maps and decided to check it out. When we arrived, we had no idea that you had to pay for parking. There were no clear signs near where we parked or around the area visible to us to explain that. A staff member happened to see us as we were leaving the bathroom and let us know our vehicle was about to be towed. Thankfully, he was very kind and helped us figure out what to do. We paid right away, but I really think there should be better signage; something near the parking area or in a visible spot when you first arrive. What also made it confusing is that there was no signage for the office where you’re supposed to pay. It was located upstairs of the bathrooms, but as a new visitor, I would’ve never assumed I should just walk up into a random building without something clearly saying “Office” or “Pay Here.”Also, the women’s bathrooms definitely need more privacy. There were huge gaps in the stall doors. You could see inside completely. That would be really uncomfortable and potentially scary for people using the restroom or changing.Overall, it’s a beautiful place to swim and we had a great time, but better bathroom privacy and more obvious signs about parking and where to pay would make it a much better experience for new visitors. - Jasmine Williams
