Echota Village Store & RV Park Reviews
Amazing place! The staff was super friendly, the grounds are well kept, and it was one of the most beautiful sections of the river to float! Riley was our driver to drop us off to float and picked us up when we were done, and he was so fun and nice! They don’t bog you down with rules and regulations, and just support you having a fun safe time on the river. We will definitely be staying here again!
Sep 24, 2023 · Lawrence DePriestSo let me just start that we are used to staying at state/national parks. When we pulled in, it was late and dark. The spots are hard to identify at night because they are literally side by side and the arrow isn't easy visible. We we thinking there would be individual picnic tables and maybe a fire ring but there was barely enough space for camper and vehicle. So if you're just looking for a place to park and sleep this place is fine. If you're looking for a more state park vibe, this isn't it. Also, we had already booked and then found out they don't offer river shuttles or floats anymore. Still close enough to other places so not that big of a deal, except we booked it because of that. Positives is that the bathroom was pretty clean. Everyone was quiet and respectful, definitely more family focused versus down the road. So overall if you're looking for an easy place to pull in and shower and sleep this place is fine.
May 27, 2024 · Tiffany HerreraWent floating here and we had a great time. Takes a little while getting the check in for the rafts, but we had a great experience. Be sure they tell you where their pickup is because i had to ask, so if it's your first time, you might not know what to expect. They're really helpful with loading all your gear and getting you set up for the float trip. The workers are super friendly, so that's a plus.
Aug 07, 2023 · Lynzi SmithThis people is so friendly and make you feel like family. Ben is wonderful person and cares about people, Something we have lost with all outfitters now in the Illinois river, they don’t care no more and people with their own kayak are not welcome. If you ever plan to visit the Illinois river, this is the place to go and have an amazing experience. The camping grounds are great and nice space between them, restrooms are clean and nice hot showers. Thank you Ben for open your doors to Steve’s Adventures and friends.
Oct 23, 2023 · steve.adventuresWe were in site #6, felt like a sardine crammed in a can, we could not even let our awning all the way out without hitting the top of the camper in site #5, the sewer was too far back for us to hook up and it was to high for drainage too, so we had to dump, we had no picnic table and there was no grill, had to go down the way to use someone elses. We barely had room to set lawn chairs, we have camped here before all the new renovations and we were not cramped, you have no privacy being so close together, the plus side was the person in the office was very friendly and the 2 guys that drove us to the float site. We will definitely pick different sites to set up in on our next visit and hopefully someone listens and fixes the sewer hookups!Happy Camping Ya'll
