Eastern Slope Camping Area Reviews
Enjoyed camping here. They have large pull through sites with electric and water facility. Our site stated water front but it wasn’t. But still not disappointed, site is clean and clear without gravel. Bath house is well maintained.
May 26, 2025 · Y MStayed September 24, 2024. Big campground with lots of sites. No one was around us the first day but the second day they put two large campers right beside us. With the campground having lots of empty sites, why would they put them next to us. Luckily they were really nice folks. Office staff was friendly. The bathrooms were clean but the toilet seats were extremely loose. I thought I was going to slide off the toilet. The beaches were almost dry and the “sand” was nasty.
Sep 28, 2024 · Shelby RobertsI was concerned that things would be different because i knew there was new management.Like most people,i am afraid of change at times. However,i was extremely relieved on day 1! Leanne and Dotty were amazing! They both were friendly and kind and seemed to genuinely care about the campers being happy. They both went out of their way to make my families camping experience great! On the way there i had a problem my car.I mentioned this to a staff member named Aaron. He was so kind and empathetic to my situation, that he,himself called a mechanic he knows and got me appt.Talk about amazing staff! The bathrooms are new and very clean. If a group is loud past quiet hours,it is addressed immediately. We are already booked for next year and have been recommending Eastern Slopes to everyone we know.
Aug 17, 2024 · Jenn HamelMy husband, young daughter, and I stayed at Eastern Slopes over the holiday weekend and were VERY disappointed by the experience. Having camped at over 30 different state parks and private campgrounds in 2024 so far, this is one of very few we would NEVER return to. The bathrooms were very messy (overflowing trash cans/sanitary napkin bins, dirt/mud on floor, toilet paper stuck to the floor, hair all over the counter). There were so many bright lights kept on all night, shining right into campsites (our tent looked like day time when we were trying to sleep). The quiet hours were not enforced at all (people yelling, motorcycle engines revving, dogs barking until midnight, another night until 2:00 AM). If camping means partying to you, this may be your place...if camping means enjoying nature and relaxing this is the absolute opposite. We spent a lot of money for this very disappointing experience.
Sep 05, 2024 · Rebecca BeaudetLet me begin by stating that I am not an RV person. This is an RV campground. Our friends were camping there and we drove up and pitched a tent. Their river view campsite has no view of the river. Although there is nothing that can be done about this, the campground grounds is a sandy dirt. Not quite sand but too fine for dirt. And it gets everywhere. Walking around in sandals was not fun. What can be fixed. As far as I can tell there were two functioning bathrooms in the whole campground. There was frequently a wait. The showers had not hooks or benches to put clothes on while bathing. As far as I could tell bathrooms were only cleaned once mid-morning on Memorial Day weekend. My wife told me the women’s bathroom had no toilet paper Monday morning. Finally, there was a very load group late into the one night, which nothing was done about even though a call was made. The quiet hours are pointless if there is no one to enforce them.
