Camp sites are beautiful! Each campsite has its own tent area, fire ring, large picnic table, and bear box. Each of these appeared to be freshly cleaned before my arrival. The campsite has a large, level area for tents. The area is large enough to accommodate more than one tent, or a large tent plus a sunshade.Restrooms were both very clean, well maintained, and smelled nicely. The camp host checks in daily, is friendly, and is available. My campsite was #27. I saw campsites #20 to #27, and they were all great! Site arraignment among trees gives everyone a little privacy.I highly recommend this campsite! One of the best sites I've ever found! - Christina Zimbelman

The drive to the campground is a picturesque journey, taking you through quintessential Colorado landscapes that signal your transition from daily life to mountain tranquility. The approach involves driving 21 miles north of Fort Collins on U.S. Highway 287, then turning left (west) onto the Red Feather Lakes Road (County Road 74E) and traveling approximately 22 miles. The campground's location directly next to Dowdy Lake is a significant draw, offering stunning lake views and easy access for water-based activities.
