Devils Fork Campground Reviews
My family and I had a wonderful time staying at this newly-built campground. We had a great experience with communication with the owners via Facebook Messenger; they were very quick to reply. There was no registration fee, and the owners were very low-key about which site we used. The sites are close together with minimal privacy, but there were not many people there when we stayed there (a weeknight in June). The site was big enough for our large tent and Outback. There is electric and water at almost every site. There are fire rings and firewood for sale as well. The weather was nice: our trip occurred during a heatwave, but as the site is in the mountains, the air temperature cooled off at night and heated up during the day.We did not have cell service at the site, but there was very strong wifi throughout the campground. There is access to the river that runs across the road from the site. We had a great time splashing in the water and climbing on rocks. You can hear the river from your site as well. The Devils Bathtub hike is possibly my new favorite hike. On the way to this campground, you will pass the overflow parking for the hike (as it has gained popularity, a new lot has been built. It is a bit longer but isn't really that much of an addition to the overall strenuosity of the hike). The original on-site parking lot was not full when we got there, but had filled up by the time we got back. The hike consists of many river crossings, in which you will have to wade across or rock-hop (with the possibility of falling in!) so plan accordingly as to what shoes you wear. Keep in mind that blisters are also common with soft skin and sandals. The tub itself is very cold as it is filled by a mountain stream, so it is a great way to cool off after the hike.

Jul 03, 2025 · Dennys Rodriguez SanchezThis place is BEAUTIFUL!! Owners are very nice and will help you in any way possible. Me and my Fiancé stayed and felt right at home. Campground has outstanding views and a beautiful creek. Easy hike to the devils bathtub too!
May 26, 2025 · Brooke MolletteVery very well kept and peaceful campground in beautiful Scott County, VA! We enjoyed a 3 night stay with water and electrical hookups in our 5th wheel camper! Went to bed and woke up each morning to the peaceful serenade of the babbling creek across from the campground, just simply cannot beat it! Having access to wifi, a very clean (new) shower house, ice for the cooler if needed, wood for a campfire, (the list goes on and on), makes for a great stay. Highly recommend this campground for anyone wanting a nice camping trip, you won't be disappointed! Our kiddos loved ever minute as well. 5 stars!
May 27, 2025 · Logan VermillionFound this place in route to Devils Bathtub Trail on Google Maps thank goodness! After 2 nights of car camping in the forest it was awesome to have a place so close to our next trail to relax at! Met the owners, which BTW its privately owned, and they were so friendly and gave us some of the history of the place. The place is ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS with the tall exposed rock wall, the Stoney Creek running through, and tons of just greenery. We stayed at site 5 and backed right up to the creek for a peaceful night of sleep. Definitely recommend the camp place and Definitely recommend the Devils Bathtub Trail and also The Great Channels as well! They are I think within 30min from eachother BUT get to the hikes early if you want solitude.
