Daycation On The River Reviews
The staff is super friendly and helpful. The locals a re friendly and fun and the lounge is mostly locals. The lounge has good indoor and outdoor areas including an outdoor stage for bands. Pool tables and events like Karaoke. Beer and liquor selection is limited. I’m not sure if that’s sales driven or due to financial struggles. The campground is decent but needs some updating. I did have a maintenance issue and the super nice maintenance guy took care of it quickly. Again the staff is great. Even though they continue to advertise it. The restaurant is closed which left me hungry after my arrival and setup. The resort is evidently in financial struggles. There are 100 sites and only 8 campers here. A few cabins. There’s a nice pool and the location is great. Especially if you are bringing a boat or visiting the state parks and springs. The prices are too high for the current condition but would be about average if there were modern amenities/upkeep.
May 06, 2025 · Scott HoneycuttVery clean camp ground! Great access to river with boat dock. Swimming pool was added bonus, very clean. Would Def visit again. Live band, good bar atmosphere, just wish they had food to serve.
Jul 02, 2025 · William SmithHave a lot of fun there. Not a lot of golf cart riding but rivers / springs were nice. Shower house was kept clean enough as well. Pool and spa very nice bar food needs revamped.
Jun 29, 2025 · Cheryl PeakeThis is not the Ellie Rays we are used to. We’ve noticed over the years that they slowly deteriorating but still managed to have a good time. Our last visit will be our last ever. We reserved a campsite online through their website which asked for details on what type of camper and its specifications were. After completing this I hit the availability button and the different sites popped up. I chose a site on the water. Upon checkin I was told the site was only for motor homes not for travel trailers. They asked me why I would rent that spot and when I told them the website says nothing about motor homes only she said I should of called instead. They said they would find me another spot which they did and it was fine. This site had a difference of around $7.50 a night but after the office did the math she said I was only due a $1.50 credit, but for 3 nights should have been $22.50. As I was heading out of the office the maintenance guy informs us that the water and electricity would be turned off all day Friday. When I told them I had a one year old staying with us they said sorry we just found out 20 minutes ago. When I told them I wanted a refund as I was going to have to look elsewhere she said no refund only campsite credit. I said I hear your in foreclosure they said no we’re not we’re in bankruptcy. No way did I want to leave $450.00 on the line. I asked to talk with the owner but was told he wasn’t there and they didn’t know where he was. I asked the girl at the desk her name 3 times but she refused to give it to me. Things got worse after we got home as I looked at my credit card bill and they’re charging me $530.00 for a tear in a boat seat we rented that the boat guy showed us before we took the boat out. I have 5 adults who will attest to this. We were on the property from the time we returned the boat Saturday(4:10 PM) until we left Sunday at 11:00 AM. No one approached us or contacted us while we were there. They put the charge on my credit card Monday morning. Beware of this campground as they’re financial trouble may be behind this.
Jun 16, 2025 · Tim McDanielSuch a cool place to visit! We went out for a music festival and loved it! The bar is a good size with pool tables and more. The outside bar is perfect with the music stage right there. The campgrounds are set up nice for primitive camping, RVs, cabins and more. There is a nice pool with waterfalls and a hot tub that's pretty large. If you want to hit the river, they have a boat launch right across from the bar. The food they serve up is great too. Hamburgers and fries were on point. The drinks were inexpensive and made nice and strong. Along with the bands playing were venders selling all sorts of goodies just down from the pool. Such a great place a chill and hangout!!!
