Cripple Creek KOA Holiday Reviews
!!! WE LOVE IT HERE !!!I cant say enough about how much we love this place. My partner and I have been coming here for years and have tried each type of camping site they offer. We are always impressed and leave happy; wishing we could have stayed longer. The family who runs this place is simply amazing! They always make us feel like part of the family. The store has everything you need and then some. The facilities are always SO clean. 10/10 highly reccomend. Thank you for the amazing vacation.
Jun 24, 2025 · Lauren DomanicoWe just moved into our RV full time and decided to make this KOA our first stop on our journey! We stayed for two weeks and absolutely LOVED it! The staff is so beyond kind, remembered us, our spot, our dogs, etc. We really felt like family by the time we left! Our spot, a normal 50 amp pull through, was super nice with plenty of space. The dog park was incredible, we were there almost twice per day. The views are hard to beat, do yourself a favor and take some sunset walks! SO much hiking close by, and even a trail within the park. We had an issue with some off leash dogs charging us on our last day, and the staff was very caring, prompt, and took it so seriously. Truly only have great things to say, we had an incredible stay and cannot recommend this KOA enough! Thank you all for the stay, we’ll be back!!
Jul 01, 2025 · Alia BogerThis is my favorite KOA campground in the U.S. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is in a beautiful valley situated between the mountains at an elevation of 10000 feet. It is close to Cripple Creek and Victor which are great places to learn about and experience the mining boom that brought the original settlers to this area. There are numerous hiking trails within 30 minutes drive to satisfy everyone from the inexperienced flatlander to the experienced mountain trekker. The location accommodates a large number and variety of trailers and RVs. Everything is maintained in good working order. There are also a number of primitive camping sites situated in the woods a couple hundred yards away and uphill from the vehicle area.Despite the large number of people camping, it is relatively quiet and peaceful. Everyone can enjoy their section of the outdoors with a nice fire and/or BBQ without disturbing the other groups nearby. Generally, everyone turns in before 10 pm as it starts to get fairly cool and they need a good night’s rest for the next day’s activities.
Jul 04, 2025 · mojovoyagerThis is a wonderful KOA! The grounds are very well kept, the facilities are thoroughly cleaned, and there are several amenities (including a great hiking trail!). The staff is sociable and friendly, always willing to help. It is very close to a lot of local hiking. An ideal place to stay!
Jul 05, 2025 · Jesse BosticJust finished a 3 night stay here in our 5th Wheel. The drive was absolutely beautiful. RV sites are extremely close. But we had a group of friends so this was manageable. The staff were extremely friendly. The camp kitchen was AWESOME! But campers be ware, 10,000 feet in elevation is no joke.
