Cranes Mill Park (USACE) Reviews
It is very cool place. We spent this weekend there. Nice wheatear nice view. Very nice tables with really big roofs that delivers enough shadow. But I never saw so much ants ants and scorpions on the sites. Looks like park don't use enough deterrents to protect sites. For your understanding during weekend one scorpion bites one of our friend. Another one somehow hides on our stuff and we bring him home. and one more hides in our other friends stuff and they saw him in their garage.
Sep 03, 2024 · Egor ShmakovVery clean place! Nice workers! I observe the attendants cleaning and hosing down the table. For the person who complained about ants and scorpions: This is a natural habitat and you are invading their space. Chemicals are not used in natural habitats!
Nov 15, 2024 · Diane HaignereSurprised about the many bad reviews about the attendants. We came before the crazy winter storm hit. The couple was nice, they are strict with the check in and check out, yes, but never disrespectful. There was another attendant on day also nice and helpful. I would say people are a little rude in the town, but I think that how they are around here. We are beyond thankful for this campground. They have heater and hot water in the clean bathrooms. A life saver when our water was frozen. We never lost power here. Felt secure and safe here during this crazy storm. The park os beautiful. We stayed a week due to the lack of power at home. Thank you!
Feb 21, 2021 · Zhandra AndradeThere are several shaded spots, it's a very quiet area. They have RV and tent camping appts. Note that your car will not be parked right at your tent site. I would love to come back after the drought when the lake is full again.
Jun 05, 2025 · Amber DoranWe were at Cranes Mill for 2 weeks. The park is very well kept and the hosts are terrific. We had an issue with our levelers on our motorhome and couldn't move even with the help of a tech. We were supposed to move sites and couldn't. The people in charge were so accommodating and worked around us. Fortunately we had a neighbor that knew exactly what to do to manually raise them and get us on our way. We couldn't be more grateful. Thank you again.
