We recently visited Cranberry Lake and had a great experience, even though it was raining when we arrived. It made settling into our site a bit tricky, but we managed to get comfortable quickly. The campground itself is beautiful and well-maintained.There are plenty of campsites available—some right on the lake, some with electricity, and others with both electricity and water. There are also walk-up tent sites for those who prefer a more rustic experience. Some spots offer stunning sunset views, and while a few sites are side-by-side, many are spacious and private. There’s a lot to do here—plenty of hiking trails and beach access. The campground is very popular, so I highly recommend booking well in advance, possibly even a year out. There’s a small store on-site that sells firewood and other essentials. The restrooms are clean, have showers, and are regularly maintained. There was an attendant at the gate when we arrived, check-in was easy with no line.Overall, Cranberry Lake offers beautiful views, especially of the bridge, and it didn’t feel overly crowded. I’d definitely come back and highly recommend it to others!
Apr 17, 2025 · Misha SmithThis might be the cleanest campground I’ve ever stayed at!! And certainly one of the most beautiful; you can’t beat the location. The bathrooms were very modern and utterly pristine! We arrived fairly late as drop-in campers when our original overnight plans fell through, and directions explaining the drop-in process were posted at the front ranger station AND the campground entrance and were very easy to follow. Our site had a partial ocean view and was large and level. I definitely want to stay here again!!
