Cloquet / Duluth KOA Journey Reviews
Absolutely loved our stay at spot 53! It’s a cozy back-in site tucked away in the woods, which made for a perfect little getaway. We brought our 17ft Ice Castle, and it fit perfect. The location is super convenient—near the bathroom and only a short walk to the pool area. The campground itself was really enjoyable, and we can’t wait to come back for another visit. Highly recommend it.
Jun 19, 2025 · CandJAs a full-time RV'er and KOA member, I've stayed at numerous KOA locations across both the US and Canada. This location is perfectly fine... certainly nothing to get excited about. What's going to ruin your time is if you have to talk to any of the employees in their yellow KOA shirts. Seems like they're there to police policies more than anything. I've been to Germany and they're less militant about their rules. (Another guest called them the "Gestapo").If you choose to stay here, good luck to you and yours... do yourself a favor and stay away from the yellow shirts. As for me, my RV, and my extended family, we will not be staying here again... and I will be leaving negative reviews on every platform I use.
Jul 06, 2025 · James V. BrummettIt's a gem nestled in a wooded area. Campsites and cabins are nicely spaced. Many sites are wooded. Clean spacious restrooms, little store, game room and nice clean pool. Easy access to Duluth or Cloquet. Close to trails and water. Staff is friendly and helpful. Quiet.
Jun 11, 2025 · Mary AOnly rating 5 stars so that this is shown at the top.First off, this is not a family friendly campground. They have a pool, but kids that “can’t control their bladder (such as babies/toddlers) can’t go in the pool” (Their words!!) No swim diapers of any kind are allowed. My fiance and sister were taking a shower at the public shower around 10:30 and the maintenance guy said “we close at *swear word* 11 for cleaning, *swear word* ridiculous” to my sister, then they knocked at my fiancée door and the other maintenance guy said “there’s a *swear word* nother one in here”. Totally uncalled for, especially since it closes at 11 for cleaning. Not 10:30.Definitely DO NOT recommend this place if you have kids that are still in diapers/training underwear. Not only that, the “playground” they have is not toddler or young kid friendly either. Terrible stay. Will be contacting management!
Jun 27, 2025 · Alyssa JespersonWe weren't sure what to expect. We have never visited a KOA. We did the cabinet, it was small, but for camping out was the perfect size. It was clean, the site was surrounded by trees and brush, so it felt secluded. The check in a great. Everyone that was working that helped us was very friendly. All of the bathrooms were very clean and seemed newly renovated. It would be nice if there were another bathroom by the campsites, instead of just one stall. It seemed We had to wait often to brush our teeth or relieve ourselves. It was a clean and nice bathroom.
