Norway Beach Rd NW, Cass Lake, MN 56633, USA

4.0
This was our second stay at this National Forest campground, though our first time leaving a review. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. The Chippewa Loop at Norway Beach offers quiet, secluded sites with easy access to Cass Lake—perfect for paddling, fishing, or simply soaking in the natural beauty. The peaceful atmosphere and wooded setting are hard to beat. That said, the shower house could use some serious attention. While functional, the cinder-block structure is dated, and the hot water tends to run out quickly—resulting in some bracingly cold showers. A few simple, low-cost improvements like solar water heaters, radiant heat, or better insulation could make a big difference in comfort.Despite that, the serenity and lake access keep this campground high on our list. With a few facility upgrades, it has the potential to be a true 5-star destination. - Justin Baier
