Cheerful Valley Campground Reviews
Really nice basic campground. Excellent location alongside a very peaceful meandering riverbank with lots of opportunities for fishing. Nice open level Safari field with plenty of pull through. Not a ton of amenities, but that’s fine with me. This is also one of the most quiet campgrounds I’ve ever stayed at on the weekend.will definitely be back
Aug 13, 2024 · Jim McGennisI tent camped here one night last week and thought it was just wonderful. The campground staff were very friendly and welcoming and the tent camping area was secluded, nicely maintained, and beautifully quiet. The pool is currently being refurbished and there was some maintenance being done with pressure washers, but all that activity quieted down in the evening. The warm water showers were a definite plus.
May 21, 2024 · Larry PerezOur camp site was fairly nice, on the creek and very open. There were so many rules, you can tell they want their money. I was excited for the amenities for my son but most of it was run down. I didn’t find the staff friendly at all, they are monitoring everything. When our ac stopped working they blamed us for popping the breaker and said if it happened again it wouldn’t be turned back on. Won’t be returning
Jul 08, 2024 · Avery MallaberStayed last minute with my kids for what was supposed to be a 2 night stay. When we called, we knew it would be slim picking since it was a holiday weekend. The office lady, I think it was Karen was nice, and when we arrived she explained that our site was up in the woods. Well, it was in the grass, in the back, about a quarter mile from the pool, playground, or even bathrooms. That part was difficult, but can't complain as we didn't ask to move either. Bathrooms need an upgrade, and a cleaning. Pool closed at 7pm. Other than needing a fogger, or some type of mosquito control, and needing updated bathrooms, the stay would have been fine. We only cut ours short due to rain, and severe mosquitos.
Jul 06, 2024 · Caitlin DavisWe have been seasonal campers @ Cheerful Valley for 5 years. We love the grounds and the management. There is a lot for families to do.
