Cathedral Pines Camp Ground Reviews
Very quiet location. Went a few years ago. The sites are level for those with a Camper or RV. There are many options available. There is a beach that is very nice, there are others not camping that have access to if for a small fee. So, this is a great place to camp or just do a day trip and picnic. I plan to do a camping trip this year for 3 days. My parents used to camp with their RV at least once per year. They loved it as well.
Apr 28, 2025 · Brian RTo me, there is no better campground in the state. Our family loves it here so much. The sites are very large, well kept, and clean. The bathrooms are incredibly clean and taken care of daily. There is easy access to a dumpster no matter where your site is and they are emptied fairly regularly. The area to sink your tank is spacious and well designed. The views are amazing. The staff are friendly. I love the covered space they offer before the office. The playground is excellent entertainment for our children and the rec room is also very popular. On our recent trip, we were able to rent a canoe for half a day which was fun and affordable! My one issue is the booking process. I'm not able to come stand in line for booking in October and by the time I'm able to get through on email/phone, the availability of most sites is limited or non-existent. However, that isn't enough to stop me from trying to book every year!Thank you Cathedral Pines for creating a community that is so welcoming and nostalgic and safe.
Jul 21, 2024 · Erika SkiffNot a hotel and no cabins. All beautiful and spacious camp sites along Flagstaff lake. Come sites right on the water and some in and among the amazing pines. Well kept and manicured grounds. Modern bathrooms cleaned daily and monitored throughout the day. They have beautifully paved roads through the whole campground. Lots of things to do and travel too around them. Great places to explore nature. Lots of beautiful wild life.
Jul 28, 2024 · Holly YorkThis campground is so beautiful. Aptly named because it does feel like a cathedral of pines. I pitched a tent at site 80. So spacious and directly across from the restrooms. I walked to the little beach anddock at sunset and, oh my, the view of the Bigelows was so pretty...and reflected in the lake. Even if it had rained though, I would have been happy snuggling up in the clubhouse and constructing one of the many jigsaw puzzles or reading one of the numerous books. Love this place!
Sep 15, 2024 · Jennifer BrueninghausBeautiful campground. Unfortunately not very dog friendly. Cannot have dog at the beach. Even where they are allowed to go in water, they have to be on the leash which is not really swimming. I understand not wanting dogs running around everywhere. But a few well behaved dogs swimming for a half hour after the regular beach hours are done doesn’t seem like it would be detrimental to anyone’s camping experience and would allow them to have some fun and get exercise. Beautiful place but not really great for active dogs that like to swim on vacation
