Apr 24, 2023 · Suzanne MiladinVery relaxed and beautiful. A little dusty but thats expected when camping. We caught some nice sized rainbows and saw quite a bit of wildlife. Everyone was friendly and the bathrooms were very well kept.
Sep 25, 2018 · Kasondra Kleinwell kept PG&E campground. Joe, the host was personable and helpful. no hook ups, no showers, but pit toilets are kept clean. good fishing right there

Jul 08, 2025 · Joe LevinDecent place to rest your head then head out to explore the surrounding area. Didn't find much else to do at the campsite unless you are a fisherman. Camped in spot 19 which was next to the main street to exit, and, as we learned, to enter as well. For a campsite the number of cars and trucks driving through was above average due to the fact that that main street goes through on the other side to an access road that must be pretty popular. With two young boys that was something we had to pay extra attention to. We actually spent most of our days about 3 miles up the 299 at another campsite using their day use area with a big beautiful swim hole. If we had to do it over again we would have stayed there for $8 a night instead of $18 at Cassell. These guys visiting us daily made the stay a bit better!
