Cashie River Treehouse Village Introduce
For those living in North Carolina and seeking an unconventional outdoor adventure, the Cashie River Treehouse Village in Windsor offers a truly distinctive experience. Unlike traditional campgrounds with RV hookups and tent sites on flat ground, this destination provides a more rustic and immersive encounter with nature. It’s an opportunity to step away from the everyday and embrace a different kind of accommodation, elevated among the trees.
This unique village caters to adventurers and nature lovers who appreciate a back-to-basics approach to camping, with a touch of elevated charm. If you're looking for an escape that combines the tranquility of the woods with the novelty of staying in a treehouse-like structure, then the Cashie River Treehouse Village might be the perfect fit for your next North Carolina getaway. It's a place designed to reconnect you with the natural world, offering a quiet retreat from the modern world’s demands.
The Cashie River Treehouse Village is located in Windsor, NC 27983, USA. This placement along the Cashie River provides a scenic and secluded backdrop for your outdoor adventure. Windsor is a charming town in Bertie County, Eastern North Carolina, known for its natural beauty and small-town appeal.
For North Carolina residents, accessing the Cashie River Treehouse Village requires a journey into the heart of rural eastern North Carolina. While the exact street address isn't widely publicized to maintain its secluded nature, reaching Windsor by car is straightforward via major state routes. Once in Windsor, you'll likely receive specific directions to the village upon booking. It's important to remember that this is a truly immersive nature experience, and the approach to the 'cabins' might involve walking a significant distance from parking, so planning for easy transport of your belongings is advisable. The remote setting contributes to the peaceful and authentic wilderness feel of the village, making it an ideal escape for those looking to disconnect and explore the natural environment of the Cashie River.
The Cashie River Treehouse Village offers a very specific and minimalist set of "services," designed to provide a rustic and authentic outdoor experience rather than the comforts of a traditional hotel or a fully-equipped campground. It's crucial for potential visitors to understand what to expect.
- Elevated "Cabin" Structures: The primary service offered is the unique accommodation itself – the elevated structures that resemble treehouses or rustic cabins. These provide shelter from the elements and a distinct overnight experience.
- Basic Furnishings: Inside these structures, you'll find very basic furnishings. Public information indicates the presence of a table and chairs, offering a spot for dining or activities within the space.
- Windows and Fan: Each "room" is equipped with windows, allowing for natural light and ventilation, and a fan is provided to help circulate air.
- Customer Service: Despite the rustic nature of the accommodations, customer service is highlighted as a positive aspect by visitors, suggesting that staff are helpful and responsive to inquiries.
It is critical to note what is NOT provided, as this directly impacts the planning of your stay:
- No Mattresses: Visitors must bring their own sleeping arrangements, such as air mattresses, sleeping pads, or cots, as traditional mattresses are not provided in the cabins.
- No On-site Bathrooms: There are no traditional bathrooms or restroom facilities directly at the "cabins." This means campers should be prepared for primitive bathroom solutions, which could involve walking a significant distance to available facilities or making alternative arrangements.
- Limited Amenities: Beyond the basic shelter, there are very few, if any, additional amenities typically found at campgrounds (e.g., electricity outlets, running water inside the cabins, kitchen facilities, Wi-Fi). This reinforces the "back to nature" ethos of the village.
The Cashie River Treehouse Village offers a range of distinctive features that make it a unique destination for specific types of campers:
- Unique Treehouse-Style Accommodation: The most prominent feature is the opportunity to stay in an elevated structure, providing a novel and memorable camping experience that differs significantly from ground-level tents or RVs.
- Immersive Nature Experience: Situated along the Cashie River and deep within the woods, the village offers a truly immersive natural setting. This is ideal for those who wish to disconnect from urban life and fully engage with the sounds and sights of the forest.
- Peaceful and Secluded Environment: Due to its rustic nature and potentially remote placement of individual cabins, the village is known for its quiet and secluded atmosphere. This makes it perfect for relaxation, introspection, and enjoying uninterrupted natural tranquility.
- Opportunity for Star Gazing: Away from city lights, the clear night skies over the Cashie River area can offer excellent opportunities for star gazing, adding another magical dimension to your stay.
- Direct River Access: While not explicitly stated as having a dock or ramp, its location on the Cashie River strongly suggests opportunities for kayaking, canoeing, or fishing if visitors bring their own equipment or rent locally.
- Ideal for Cooler Seasons: Feedback from visitors suggests that the experience is particularly enjoyable during the fall and winter months when temperatures are milder, making the rustic accommodations more comfortable.
Information regarding specific promotions or special offers for Cashie River Treehouse Village is not readily available through public domain searches. Given the unique, niche nature of this accommodation, it's less likely to run frequent public promotions compared to larger, more commercial campgrounds.
However, it is always recommended for interested individuals to contact the Cashie River Treehouse Village directly to inquire about any potential discounts, seasonal rates, or special packages that might be available. Sometimes, unique lodging experiences offer:
- Off-peak season discounts: Rates might be lower during less popular times of the year (e.g., outside of peak summer or fall foliage seasons).
- Group booking rates: If you are planning a trip with a larger party, there might be special pricing for booking multiple "cabins."
- Weekday specials: Discounts could be offered for stays during the week versus weekends.

Do not go in July if you ain’t ready for the heat. It’s def creepy at night if you aren’t used to the woods. Room has a fan and plenty of windows however even with the small wind, you will be hot at night. Perfect for the fall or even winter. No bathrooms fyi. Def an experience and love the customer service!
Feb 23, 2024 · Cya VsqzWe were so hopeful about this place, but from the getgo it was disappointing. The "cabins" are not nearly as nice as the pics would suggest and they're very misleading. There are NO mattresses, so be aware. There is only a table and 4 mismatched chairs and it was filled with cobwebs...and for WHATEVER reason, since there were no other people in the cabins, they put us in the next to last one and we ended up having to cart our stuff almost half a mile, which also made going to the bathroom a chore. 10 out of 10 DO NOT recommend this place
Sep 08, 2024 · Shari NoyceAbsolutely gorgeous place to stay! Up in the trees overlooking the Cashie River. The houses are well constructed, the bath facility is super nice and clean. There are a few electric outlets and an overhead light in the cabins. If you come in the summer, definitely bring a fan or two.

Sep 20, 2021 · CaseyThe weekend was hot hot hot, but We new that going in. Enjoyed it greatly, we will do it again soon. Caught fish, un hooked from the world, enjoyed God creation singing, breathing. Lots to do within 5 mins of camp. Small zoo, playgrounds, picnic area, river walk, kayaking and Wildlife center. Reasturants near by heritage house and Lucia's puzza, Bunns barbeque, family dollar. Loved it.
