Carrabelle Beach RV Resort Reviews
We stayed for five days and were not impressed. The campsites are small and set on a noticeable downward slope, making it difficult to level our RV. I had to position my fifth wheel very carefully so the awning wouldn’t hit a tree and could cover the old, dry-rotted picnic table—which was chained to the ground and couldn’t be moved.Parking was another issue. Our truck didn’t fit properly in the site and had to be parked sideways, barely fitting within the space. The pool was cloudy every day of our stay and had black spots all over the walls. I'm an early riser and never once saw anyone maintaining it. Additionally, there was a strong garbage odor coming from the dumpsters, which became overwhelming at times depending on the wind direction. If you're planning your trip with the beach in mind, think again. While there is a public beach, the water is brown and doesn’t appear clean. On a more positive note, Apalachicola is about twenty miles west. It’s a small town with a few shops, breweries, and restaurants worth visiting.

Jun 17, 2025 · chevylette84If you are looking for a hidden gem, this is it! We booked a site relatively at the last minute but on the way had truck issues and had to turn around and go back home. We called and explained to the staff what happened and asked if they had any other accommodations. They offer cottages as well and after a short conversation, we had a place to stay and Spring Break was not ruined. We arrived very late but had no issues gaining access to our home away from home for a few days. The room was very clean and just right. After checking out the property the next morning in daylight, it was evident that it is very well maintained. The maintenance crew were doing just that, taking care of the property. All of the staff were so helpful and kind. Although this is considered to be on the bay, the sand just a few steps from the camp ground is perfect and is so peaceful. Our stay there was absolutely perfect! Lastly, after checking out, they called us the next day to let us know they found a necklace on the bathroom floor. It was my daughter’s and she was very upset that she left it on accident. They immediately offered to send it to us and it showed up at our house a few days later. This tells you about the integrity and character of the people that run this place! We will be going back….as soon as my truck is fixed. 🙄
Apr 24, 2025 · Jared PopeGreat place to stay. Great pool and friendly staff. Good internet and cable leaves a little to be desired. Great beach right across the street. Been here several times and the beach is never crowded.
Jun 07, 2025 · Knarf SSince we've never been in the RV up near the panhandle, we decided to take a long weekend for our anniversary. We arrived Thursday and upon pulling in, was given brief instructions of the park layout (which is extremely small and NO food the tiny store) and pointed towards the general direction of our site. We were in site #15 on the left side of the office. The roads going through the park are extremely small and have to be navigated with precision. They don't offer parking assistance and rarely did I see any workers roaming around. While the grounds were neatly kept, the dog park had several piles of poo which had been neglected to be picked up. Even though there are threatening signs of a fee if you don't clean up after your pet, I would think the maintenance people would clean it up, but hat wasn't the case in the 2 days we were there. The closest restaurants for a 3.3 Mi down the street. We decided to bike there which isn't the smartest idea, since the bike lane is very narrow and you're biking on a highway. If you don't have a toad with your RV, I highly suggest you omit this park as it's very boring and there's no entertainment & virtually nothing to do besides the pool or beach. We did venture off and walked along the beach but it was full of jellyfish & a black silt material washed up at the water's edge. Unfortunately, I was expecting beautiful blue water but it was a murky brownish green. For the cost, it was quite a disappointment. We left a day early and unfortunately will not be returning.
