Carlyle Lake Dam West Campground Reviews
Stayed: 9/15/2024 to 9/19/2024. We had 4 nights here site 50 is breathtaking, electric only. Pull through. We paid $9 a night with our lifetime seiners pass. All sites are huge here. And some have EW-S.
Feb 21, 2025 · Shelley AlloreStayed here for the first time for the weekend…Friday night and Saturday might… what a LOVELY campground!!! Level sites, beautiful trees, water views… lots of green space, trails, bike paths, benches in common areas. The sites are extremely spacious (ours was anyway… we had number 18) we rode our bikes around for a bit, enjoyed the shade. The attendants at the booth were very helpful with our questions…. They have some reservableSites and others that are first come first served… some are right on the water (lake) and some are set back… all are beautiful. Affordable too!! (Ours was $18 a night) there is another smaller portion of the campground that sits across the street from the lake that was nice too, but I would choose this side again if we get back this way.
Oct 12, 2024 · Teresa Ghioto WernimontThe spots are large. We probably could have set up 5 tents and still had room. The lake side lots are a smaller but still larger than most. I didn't sleep tho because there was a party crew up most of the night keeping everyone in tents awake..... so the actual point of being here from one night was a fail.... I got small naps in between the loud laughter and roars.
Oct 13, 2024 · James MartinI love camping. Going to a Corp of engineers camp ground is a way better experience than a state owned campground. The bathroom/ shower is cleaned EVERYDAY! The lady that does it is there at 7 am cleaning our bathroom. Walls, showers, doors, knobs, toilets, of course. I even watched her sweep the playground equipment. ( every 2 weeks, ) Then 2 times a week, she cleans out the firepits of ash. I did see another lady cleaning one day. Some people are not appreciated enough. I am posting this to say .....these woman should get a raise...I thanked them in person and now I'm thanking them to the world ! Have a great winter of bathroom ladies. The campground bathroom is cleaner than some restaurant ( that recently had lystria) that " are practicing better sanitary guidelines " Those guidelines SHOULD ALWAYS BE PRACTICED, not justwhen you're open. Does anyone remember the Plandemic? Anyway, I think I'm getting a point across.
