Captains Quarters Private Campground Reviews
What a wonderful experience we had at this hobby farm. Hubby and I chose this location because we were going to do rock hounding at glass Butte, Oregon. What a wonderful experience. A lovely couple allowed us to experience their private farm. Their animals were enchanting, and it was a quiet and awesome time. Couldn’t recommend this more.
Jun 29, 2025 · Gninnah HanningWe stayed here overnight in late March of 2024 in our rental van. Host was absolutely amazing, and when we rolled up we were greated by an endless supply of cats! Thank you so much for having us, we'd love to stop by again next time we trek out East!
Apr 22, 2025 · Dino Rowan TraiteWe had a truly lovely stay at Captain’s Quarters Campground. We camped amongst the geese and the resident mule. It was so peaceful, surrounded by golden plains. The hobby farm is very well maintained. Our dog really appreciated the dog park- a large fenced in area where we could play fetch safely. Electrical and water hookups. Very nice and helpful host. Highly recommend!
Sep 07, 2024 · Caitlin ImrieMy wife and I loved staying at Captains Quarters! What a perfect spot if you are traveling Hwy 20, and you need a safe, clean, and fun place to stay. The Hosts are genuinely kind and love what they do. We watch a family stop who were concerned they didn't have enough gas to get them three miles up the road to the gas station; they were fine as the light JUST came on. But, instead of insisting they were fine, the hosts added a gallon of fuel to their car and refused to take money for it. We will definitely stay here again if it works out.
Sep 07, 2024 · Chuck HardyStaying at this hobby farm campsite was an absolute joy! Tucked away in nature's embrace, it's a serene retreat for anyone seeking a break from the hustle and bustle of city life. The accommodations were charming, offering a perfect blend of rustic charm and modern convenience. But what truly sets this place apart is its forward-thinking approach. Not only do they welcome donations to support their community-driven initiatives, but they also cater to eco-conscious travelers by providing an EV charger on-site. It's a testament to their commitment to sustainability and innovation. Exploring the farm, interacting with the animals, and enjoying the peaceful surroundings made for an unforgettable experience. Whether you're a nature enthusiast, an EV driver, or simply seeking a meaningful getaway, this campsite ticks all the boxes. Can't recommend it enough!
