As a key offering of the Old Colony YMCA, Camp Yomechas frequently provides opportunities for financial assistance and member benefits, making its programs accessible to more Massachusetts families. While specific, widely advertised "promotions" like discounts might vary throughout the year, the primary special offer comes in the form of their Campership Application for two-week Basic Day Camp programs. These camperships are income-based and are granted on a first-come, first-served basis until funds are allocated or enrollment is filled. This is a significant support for families who might otherwise find camp tuition a barrier.
Furthermore, Old Colony YMCA membership is a continuous benefit that can reduce the cost of camp programs. Members typically receive reduced rates on camp fees and access to other YMCA facilities and events throughout the year. For instance, the general cost of a traditional week at camp is lower for members compared to non-members.
Families should also keep an eye out for Family Night events, which Camp Yomechas periodically hosts. These often free events, like the "Camp Yomechas Family Night" where families can explore the ropes course, enjoy boating on Lake Tispaquin, try archery, and more, offer a fantastic way for locals to experience the camp's offerings before committing to a full session. These evenings are designed to provide a taste of the camp's vibrant atmosphere and activities. It's always recommended to check the Old Colony YMCA's official website or contact Camp Yomechas directly for the most current information on any seasonal offers, member benefits, or financial aid opportunities.

Jan 27, 2025 · Eric SzaboI went to day camp here as a kid so i thought it would be fun to take my kids camping for the weekend. We had such a great time the property is just as beautiful. We swam in the pools and kyaked in the lake and had a camp fire at night and cooked outside on the fire pit/grill they have at the sights. We got a tent sight and slept in our tent during a down pour (and stayed dry) . The woman who runs the camp Sharon is such a nice person, she goes above and beyond to ensure you make happy memories with your family. We will definitely return to do it again! Thank you Sharon...
