Camp Rainbow Mountain Introduce
camp out poconos reviews, gay campground poconos, rainbow mountain pennsylvania
For Pennsylvania locals seeking a vibrant, inclusive, and entertaining escape, Camp Rainbow Mountain, also known as Rainbow Mountain Resort, in East Stroudsburg, PA, offers a unique destination in the heart of the Pocono Mountains. Established in 1981, this resort has proudly served the LGBTQ+ community and their friends for decades, creating a welcoming and fun-filled environment. While it offers traditional campground elements, it's truly a full-service resort designed for adults seeking a lively atmosphere, relaxation, and camaraderie.
Camp Rainbow Mountain distinguishes itself from conventional campgrounds by blending diverse accommodations with a strong emphasis on social activities, nightlife, and a sense of belonging. It’s a place where guests can relax by the pool, enjoy an on-site restaurant and bar, or dance the night away in the nightclub. The resort aims to provide a comprehensive experience that caters to a specific clientele, offering an alternative to mainstream vacation spots.
However, it is important for prospective visitors to set realistic expectations based on recent guest feedback. While the resort aims to offer a full array of amenities, some reviews highlight areas that might not meet modern standards or expectations for service. For instance, one guest reported, "Getaway turned Ghetto-way. The pool is where it's at. We stayed in a cabin... Thought it was over priced. The website advertises a hot tub, there are 2 and both are broken. They advertise a sauna, again broken. The trash can at the top of the trail to the cabins was overfull and trash was everywhere and that's what we looked out on from our porch. I had to ask to have it emptied and it was the next day. The drinks are over priced at the pool and nightclub. Btw, the nightclub is a bar but louder music. Bartenders don't really care that you're there and will keep you waiting forever."
Another review echoes some of these sentiments: "Let’s talk about it. $15 for a pool full of bugs. $18 for two shots that aren’t even filled properly. Prices for me are no problem but then give the presentation. Garbage all over the walkway behind the pool. Girl was playing music over her phone. They couldn’t decide what ius gay people wanted to listen to so the went with classic rock 😒 what has happened to this place. There use to be a bartender named Anna who use to work there. She made great drinks and had a infectious personality. Every one looks like they hate their job. I miss the clean rainbow mountain."
These reviews suggest potential inconsistencies in maintenance, service quality, and amenity functionality. While the resort's history and mission as an LGBTQ+ friendly haven remain strong, prospective guests, especially Pennsylvanians considering a visit, should be aware of these past experiences and consider contacting the resort directly for the most current status of all facilities and services. This article will provide an overview of the resort's location, the array of services and accommodations it generally offers, its unique features, and essential contact information, allowing locals to make an informed decision for their next Pocono getaway.

Its long-standing history since 1981 as a dedicated space for this community provides a sense of belonging and a welcoming atmosphere that is unique among Pocono resorts. This suggests that while the spirit of the community is strong, the physical presentation and operational consistency may not always meet every guest's expectations for a modern resort. For locals who prioritize the LGBTQ+ friendly environment and the lively social scene, and who are prepared to accept potential imperfections in amenities, Camp Rainbow Mountain could still be a suitable and enjoyable choice for their next Pocono adventure. It offers a unique niche experience that sets it apart from other campgrounds in the state.

Jul 08, 2024 · T MarieI would like to share my experience here. I read the many bad reviews on this campsite and still chose to book a weekend for my birthday with my wife and friends. I booked a cabin that sleeps 6 online. Before arriving, I received an email letting me know that my cabin would be shared with 6 other random people that I have never met. Would not be an issue if it had been disclosed before booking and if it was a lower price. When I called to ask about this, the front desk informed me that these people would have unlimited access to my room through a shared door/key and that since they were splitting the cabin, that there would only be 2 beds available for my party of 6. I asked the front desk worker why they would advertise a private cabin that sleeps 6, allow me to book months in advance, then overbook it with another party. When I said there would not be enough beds for everyone, she suggested that I sleep on the floor.I got all of this in a written email and filed a charge back due to the fact that they double booked my cabin and could not provide what I paid for, which the campground had the balls to contest.Would never recommend this place. I actually find them to be despicable.Instead, the KOA Delaware water gap is an amazing campground and has made me a lifetime camper.
