- Dining Hall & Meeting Spaces: Facilities like Bailey Lodge and Akela's Pavilion are available for meetings, events, and potentially meals for organized groups.
- Pristine Cleanliness and Maintenance: This is arguably Camp Pine Ridge's most outstanding feature. Reviewers consistently laud the cleanliness of the facilities, from restrooms to general grounds, ensuring a worry-free and pleasant camping environment.
- Beautiful Pine Forests: The name "Pine Ridge" is well-deserved, with towering pine trees that contribute to a serene atmosphere, often noted for their soothing "whispers" that help campers relax and sleep.
- Expansive 150-Acre Haven: The camp encompasses a vast area, providing ample space for exploration, privacy between sites, and a true sense of being immersed in nature.
- Located within Shawnee National Forest and Crab Orchard National Wildlife Refuge: This prime location offers breathtaking natural backdrops, abundant wildlife, vibrant wildflowers, and captivating sunsets, enhancing the overall outdoor experience.

Jun 21, 2024 · victoria colburnGreat Scout Camp. The pine trees whisper me to sleep.
Apr 19, 2024 · Joe WolseyWonderful camp my boys really enjoy this camp. Every time I go there is a new update by the Ranger Jamie. He is always helpful and willing to open the trading-post at any time that we need it. He has done a great job with the trading post and keeps it really well stocked. If you plan to come to this camp better bring some money because there is some really cool knives and gadgets that you will want once you lay eyes on them. This camp has showers which are also newly built. Also have some great bunks that have been remolded since the new ranger took over. I'm going back to the camp in a week; and is very excited to camp here. Every Boy Scout Camp in America should be just like this one.
Jul 21, 2018 · Archie BrownI had so many good experiences with my fellow scouts at that camp. I remember my Troop leader was an excellent teacher and guide in the Scouts. He also told good stories to all the troops next to the lake on those week long camping trips.
