★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Excellent campground along I 70. Road noise but to be expected as it is an easy stop when travelling along the interstate. We had a lovely site backed onto the lake with beautiful mature trees. Helpful staff, especially Maddie! Not having travelled middle America often, we had never experienced a tornado warning but when the sirens went off (oh my!), the staff handled it efficiently and calmly and there was a safe space to honker down. Highly recommend.
May 17 · Denis & Michele LacroixWhat a convenient little gem! We were planning to just stop for a night on our way cross country but enjoyed the peace and quiet so much we stayed for two. The staff was really lovely, and kudos to the gal who checked us in! We didn’t have reservations and she put us in her favorite spot, which is now MY favorite spot too! The lake is a great spot to paddle board and relax, the trees make for nice shady sites. The bathrooms are very clean and I especially enjoyed the music! Made me feel at home. Laundry works well and is a good price. The onsite pizza place is yummy, convenient to town for supplies. WiFi works well for streaming, good 5G service with T-Mobile. Definitely a worthwhile stop!
June 14 · Lindsay EdmondsonCamp Lakewood was an In-N-Out for us. Very nice campground, dog friendly and I thought it was cool. They had a dock in the lake for the Campers to use if they like. Fatso pizza at the campground was very good.I accidentally made my reservations for the wrong day and she was able to fit us in
May 14 · John RobertsonOverall, Camp Lakewood is a nice campground with good views and a peaceful atmosphere. It’s a quiet place to relax, and we enjoyed the natural surroundings. However, the amenities could use some attention. Several chairs by the pond were broken, and some of the outdoor furniture was too dirty to sit on due to bird droppings. A bit pricey for this kind of oversight. One of the biggest concerns was the lack of enforcement when it comes to pet rules. Dogs were frequently off-leash throughout the property, by visitors and residents with permanent sites, which made walking our own dogs feel unsafe at times. With some improvements in maintenance and rule enforcement, this could easily be a 5-star destination.
June 03 · Fawn DahlPulled into the park. The staff were very friendly. Went to park in assigned spot that was to small, so we went back to the office and the staff apologized and quickly moved us to another beautiful spot. The park is well cared for, the pizza shop they had was great. They’re currently putting up new playground equipment which is great to see. Overall a 5 star rating and we will visit again.
