Camp Koholowo stands out as a top choice for group camps in Utah for several compelling reasons. The primary value lies in its specialized facilities, which are designed to support the unique needs of large organizations like church groups. The combination of cabins with bunk beds, a lodge with a mess hall, and a kitchen provides a structured and comfortable environment that is difficult to find in typical public campgrounds. This allows organizers to focus on the content and purpose of their camp, rather than on the logistics of feeding and housing a large number of people.
Furthermore, the emphasis on safety and security is a major selling point. In a review, a customer noted that it is a "very safe and secure place," which is a paramount concern for any group responsible for minors. The dedicated on-site parking and clear organizational structure contribute to this sense of security. The wheelchair accessibility is also a noteworthy and commendable feature, ensuring that the camp is open to a wider range of participants. While some minor issues like wasps or a non-fully functional ropes course were mentioned, these are minor compared to the overall positive and impactful experience the camp provides. The fact that it is a place for "faith building exercises" and where "many memories are made" speaks to its deeper value as a venue for personal and spiritual development. For any organization in Utah seeking a dedicated, safe, and well-equipped facility for their next group camp, Camp Koholowo is an exceptional choice.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Great camping site for church or other organization camps. Their schedule is managed quite a bit so I don't know about availability. It has bathrooms and showers. It has a nice lodge with a mess hall and kitchen. The cabins are one big room with a lot of bunk beds. Bring a soft bed roll or mat. It has beautiful scenery high up in the mountains in Santaquin canyon. Be sure to explore with some hikes. It has a ropes course easy enough for young children too.
December 07 · Craig ButlerIt's a really nice camp with fantastic facilities. Many people come here and have many growing experiences and faith building exercises. Many memories are made here for all kinds of young men and young women. It's also a very safe and secure place. The only thing holding this place back is they need to get their ropes course working again because it really only has two features, there are tons of wasps, and for me personally my allergies could not handle being there longer than a day.
August 15 · Ryan JohnsonThis is a privately owned camp.Beautiful location. Great accommodations.
September 19 · Bret BillsThis camp is really fun. A large lodge and cabins with electricity and bunk frames made this an ideal spot for a family reunion. Additionally Payson Lake is a fun place for swimming and light fishing it's only 10 minutes down the road.
August 04 · Christopher MorganLoved this girls camp! Great facilities, amazing spirit. Beautiful all around! I loved that the wildfire from a few years back burned up to the fence line but Koholowo was safe. Makes me feel God’s love for His young women. The women’s restroom isn’t accessible even though they had a handicap sign posted on it. I’m wondering if my special needs daughter should have been using the single men’s restroom on the other side that had the disability sign on it. I’ll have to contact the camp to see if they can make the women’s restroom accessible.
