Camp Keyser offers a focused set of services and amenities designed to enhance a serene and immersive camping experience, whether in a tent or a cabin.
Variety of Campsites: The camp features individual campsites, including both drive-in sites suitable for tents or small trailers/campervans (up to 24 feet, with a note about unhitching the towing vehicle for one site) and secluded walk-in tent-only sites. Some tent sites are specifically described as "very secluded" and "overlooking the creek."
Private Cabin Rental: A key offering is a private cabin, described as a "lovely cabin" and a "Romantic Mountain View MicroCabin." This cabin provides a comfortable alternative to tent camping for those who prefer not to "sleep on the ground" but still desire a natural ambiance. It's well-appointed, potentially with a wood-burning stove and gas lamp, and offers a comfortable bed.
Fire Pits: All campsites, and likely the cabin area, come with "generous firepits" or "metal fire pits," perfect for campfires (when permitted) and cooking.
Porta-potty: A shared porta-potty is available for all campers, ensuring basic restroom facilities.
Self Check-in: The camp utilizes a self-check-in system with a smart lock, providing convenience and flexibility for arrivals.
Pet-Friendly: Reviews and listings indicate that some sites and potentially the cabin are pet-friendly, allowing furry companions to join the adventure, though specific rules (like leash requirements) should always be followed.
On-site Firewood: While not explicitly stated as sold, the presence of fire pits suggests firewood is either provided or available nearby. It's always advisable to verify this or bring your own from a local, approved source.
Camp Keyser's features and highlights truly emphasize its appeal as a peaceful and nature-rich retreat for Washington locals.
Incredible Views and Ambiance: Customer reviews consistently praise the "incredible" views and "ambiance" of the camp, especially from the cabin. This suggests a visually stunning environment that contributes to a relaxing and inspiring stay.

Proximity to Stillaguamish River: A significant highlight is the "15-20 minute walk" to "great (fairly private) swimming holes on the Stillaguamish River." This offers a fantastic opportunity for swimming, wading, or simply enjoying the river’s beauty.
Access to Diverse Hiking Trails: Camp Keyser serves as an excellent base for hikers. Nearby trails include the "Mine Road Trail" (an old abandoned road leading to a mine and seasonal waterfalls), the "Whitehorse Summit (Neiderprum Trail)" for adventurous climbers, and the "Boulder River Trail," noted for its family-friendly first two miles leading to "spectacular waterfalls." The "Whitehorse Regional Trail" also offers extended walking/biking opportunities. There's even a "mile hiking loop right on the property."
Mountain Biking Opportunities: For mountain biking enthusiasts, the "lower mountain skills park" is open nearby, offering "5 miles of trails with jumps, skill features, and lower elevation loops designed for absolute beginner up to expert riders," with plans for connecting to larger, more challenging downhill trails.
Wildlife Observation: The rich forest environment is home to various wildlife, including deer, bear, wild turkey, fox, chipmunks, squirrels, and a variety of woodland birds, particularly owls. This provides excellent opportunities for nature observation.
Contemplative Spaces: One tent site offers access to a "Pondering Place" by the creek, a "contemplative space in the forest" to "listen to the birds and soak in the calm of the forest," emphasizing the peaceful nature of the camp.

We had a lovely time at Steve’s cabin. It was sufficient for us, with an actual bed, basic cooking equipments, a chemical toilet, and a sun shower. There were many small thoughtful touches like providing micellar facial wipes, body wipes, kitchen towels and mosquito repellant. It might be helpful to bring an extra headlamp or two (there is a propane light and a lamp available), and maybe also a sleep eye mask if you intend to sleep past sunrise.
