Camp Helaman Hollow Introduce
Welcome, Utah groups and campers! If you’re searching for a dedicated space to host a youth camp, a family gathering, or a group retreat, Camp Helaman Hollow in Helper is a noteworthy destination. Owned and operated by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, this camp is specifically designed to provide a venue for spiritual and recreational activities for youth and other groups from the community. It's a place that prioritizes a wholesome and purposeful outdoor experience, setting it apart from many other recreational campgrounds. While it may not be suitable for every size of group, it offers a well-defined and purposeful environment that can be a perfect fit for a variety of gatherings.
Camp Helaman Hollow is often utilized by local Church groups, and its facilities are built to support their needs. Past visitors have noted that it is a "nice camp area for youth who are camping with their ward or stake." The camp provides a blend of natural beauty and essential infrastructure, making it a functional and pleasant space. While it may not be the largest facility for an exceptionally big group, as one review pointed out, it's an excellent option for groups of around 50-80 people. The review mentioned that for a group of that size, the pavilion, lodge, and outdoor patio are "nice" and the camp works well. This feedback is a key insight into its ideal use case: providing a comfortable and well-equipped space for smaller to medium-sized groups to gather and enjoy the outdoors.
The camp's amenities, while not extensive, are practical and tailored for group use. The presence of a lodge with an outdoor patio suggests a space for gathering, teaching, or simply relaxing. An amphitheater area is also available for meetings and presentations, though a past visitor noted it might be too small for very large groups. This detail further reinforces the idea that Camp Helaman Hollow is best suited for groups that can fit comfortably into its defined spaces, allowing for a more intimate and manageable experience. The camp is not a traditional public campground, but rather a specialized facility with a mission to support wholesome activities and personal development.

What is worth choosing
Choosing Camp Helaman Hollow is a decision to select a purpose-built venue for a group event. The primary reason to choose this camp is its targeted design for youth and group gatherings. Unlike a general-purpose campground, it offers amenities like a lodge, a pavilion, and an amphitheater that are crucial for a successful retreat or camp. The existence of these facilities greatly simplifies the logistics for group leaders, providing ready-made spaces for meetings, meals, and activities. The fact that it is a Church-owned facility also provides a certain level of trust and assurance regarding the environment and management.

It is a perfect fit for a group of 50-80 people, offering enough space to feel comfortable without being so large that the group loses its cohesion. June 18 · Brad BulloughThis is a decent place for a smaller group than ours. There was only a small shaded area for tents and it was very cramped for our group. We couldn't fit all of our tents in the shade. We had a group of about 125 people. The pavilion and lodge are nice and the outdoor patio at the lodge is a nice addition. The amphitheater area is very small, too small to be comfortable for our group. Overall, this would work for a group of 50-80 or so, but I wouldn't take a group over 100 again.
July 03 · N TowersSo so fun! Lots of space, beautifully shaded. The Zipline was a hit and the stream running through the campground was amazing. Perfect weather in July.
