Cain Hollow Campground

Salamanca, NY 14779, USA

4.0
Here at the beginning of Sept 2023, was fairly quiet. Surrounded by beautiful scenery (would be even better late Sept. or early Oct.). Sites are not very level and narrow, be careful of the ditch when backing your rig into your spot. Big climb to the washroom/shower facility if you are at the opposite end of the building, but hey you are on a mountain. It is still a great spot even if you are just passing through, the Quaker Lake near by is magnificent too. - frank irv

Promotions or Special Offers

As Cain Hollow Campground is part of the New York State Park system, specific promotions are often managed at a state level or through the ReserveAmerica booking platform, rather than by individual campground. New York locals looking to book a stay at Cain Hollow should consider the following types of offers or booking strategies:

  • Off-Season Rates: Camping fees at New York State Parks often vary by season, with lower rates typically available during the shoulder seasons (spring and fall) compared to peak summer months.

  • Empire Pass: New York State offers the Empire Pass, an annual pass that provides unlimited day-use vehicle entry to most state parks, including Allegany State Park. While it doesn't discount camping fees, it waives the daily vehicle use fee, which can add up for frequent visitors.

  • Length of Stay Discounts: While not always formal "discounts," camping fees are typically structured per night, and some parks might have slightly better per-night rates for longer continuous stays, or certain booking windows might open up more flexible durations (e.g., 1-night stays made within 3 days of arrival).

  • Reservation System: Reservations for New York State Parks can be made up to 9 months in advance through ReserveAmerica. Booking early, especially for popular weekends or specific sites, is highly recommended.

For the most accurate and current information on any potential promotions or fee structures, it is always best to check the official New York State Parks website or the ReserveAmerica booking portal for Allegany State Park.
