Caboose Lake Campground is conveniently located at 3657 US-24, Remington, IN 47977, USA. Situated in rural farm country in Northwest Indiana, this prime location offers excellent accessibility for both local Hoosiers and those traveling from nearby states, making it a popular choice for short getaways or longer vacation stays.
The campground’s position directly off US-24 and near I-65 (Exit 201) makes it incredibly easy to find and access. This "EZ-off and EZ-on" convenience is particularly beneficial for RVers and travelers on longer journeys, allowing for quick transitions from the highway to a relaxing stop. It's approximately 100 miles from both Chicago and Indianapolis, and about 30 miles north of Lafayette and Purdue University, placing it within a reasonable driving distance for a significant portion of Indiana's population and surrounding areas.

Caboose Lake Campground Reviews
Our stay at Caboose Lake camp ground was excellent! The camp ground is by far the nicest and cleanest that we've stayed at. The staff are very friendly and helpful with everything. The beach, swim area and the inflatables were absolutely great. The sites are very clean along with the bathrooms and shower house. We definitely give it 5 stars and will absolutely be camping there again very soon! I highly suggest a stay there to any and everyone! There is something to do for everyone. And for those who don't have a RV or tent they have awesome Cabins and Yurts for rent as well. Very reasonable rates on all sites and rentals.
Jun 11, 2024 · Robert SmithThe team was wonderful. Very friendly and efficient! We camped in our motorhome and the noise from the interstate was deafening! The exit ramp was directly in back of us and the engine brakes from the trucks heading to the truck stops was unbelievable! Could not sit outside at all. The lake is lovely but we were unable to enjoy it. Noise went on all night. The water was not potable as a water main broke in town and I wish that we had been told that before arrival. The cost of the site was double what it should have been considering the issues. The campground was very well maintained and managed.
Sep 22, 2024 · Robin DustowIt is not really a campground to me At least it is a nice spot to go chill Get a room with your partner and bring some good food to grill but I wouldn't call it a campground I will be back to visit I did enjoy the cabin with the view of the pond
May 26, 2025 · Joshua castroWe do a special trip each year with our grandkids. We had camped here about 5 yrs or so ago so we thought it would be different to stay in the caboose.Pros: very clean campground and staff is very friendly. Easy check in and out. Beach clean and kids loved the activities on it.Cons: the caboose was great it was smaller than we thought but workable. The biggest con was the mattress for the king bed. It was a wooden pull out bed for the adults. The mattress was about an inch thick. When an adult lays on it all you feel is the wooden bed no cushion at all. For the price per night i think they should invest in nicer mattress. We got no sleep. The other con was the picnic table. It was busted and the paint was peeling off so you could not wash the bird poop off. Those 2 items is what brought it down to a 3. If we would have camped there with our camper it would have probably been a higher rating.
Jun 24, 2024 · connie PitmanAfter reading a lot of negative reviews, we were nervous coming into this trip. HOWEVER…we loved it!! Had a blast!! And definitely want to come back. The lake and wibits were very nice and so fun!!! We stayed 8 nights with 5 campers total. The staff was friendly and very helpful. We were not allowed to check in 30 minutes early without paying a fee, so we just killed time before going. We were on site B12. The only reason I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 is due to the noise from the interstate. Otherwise, a great relaxing week and the kids were worn out every evening!!
