4.0
Let me start by saying this is a good campground overall, it could just use some care and TLC to make it great! Great location, most sites have a great mountain view! Very family friendly, likely one of the more shaded campgrounds in the area. Still bring your shade tent! The amenities are nice for the most part but there is one big shortfall- cleanliness and lack of maintenance. The bathrooms and facilities are well-built but poorly maintained. Nice hands-free faucets but it seems they are having a supplies issues at the moment. The showers are free but quite dirty. One of the showers I used, the handle fell right off. Hair on the floor and just looked dirty and not clean. We had just come from a campground with vault toilets and they were much cleaner & cleaned twice a day and clearly printed out times and dates of cleaning. I think that speaks volumes. The trash bins inside and outside were frequently full and overflowing. Paper towels and TP just left sitting out instead of inside of the holders? I felt the place could be better taken care of for the price we paid for even a simple no-hookup tent site. $47/night is what I paid close to 2 months in advance. When I looked up the nightly rate the day we arrived, it had dropped to $39/night. - Adair
