I truly don’t know where to start except to say that Dave, Judy, David, and Amanda were the BEST hosts I’ve ever known! I had reservations for four days and ended staying two weeks! Judy went out of her way to accommodate me, and told me where to shop, where the locals eat, and what to see while I was in the area. The campsites were clean and spacious, the bathhouse was immaculate, and I had the best vacation of my life. The folks in the seasonal sites were friendly and welcoming as well and by the time I left (and I wish I’d stayed longer) I truly felt like a part of a family. I give Burnett’s all the stars and cannot wait to return!!!

Sep 30, 2024 · Paul Folus3 years there, love it! Now 4 years and still awesome! Good people, clean and close to the beach
Jun 09, 2025 · Dave DavisGreat campground literally a 3-5 minute walk to everything surrounding Short Sands Beach. The campground itself is immaculate and almost all the seasonal units are new and really well maintained. Our site was flat and long. Sites here are a bit close and do not offer much privacy but they nice nonetheless. We appreciated that it was gated, all roads are paved which is great for kids riding their bikes and scooters. It is also very quiet, so quiet that you can hear the lions roaring at The abutting zoo. We spent 4 nights and look forward to coming back for years to come.
