While some minor points of feedback from guests will be addressed, the overall picture reveals a campground committed to providing a clean, functional, and friendly environment for your Arkansas adventures. Let's explore what makes Buffalo River Campground a suitable choice for your next outdoor escape.
Buffalo River Campground is strategically located at 8835 AR 7, Harrison, AR 72601, USA. This address places it directly on Arkansas Highway 7, a scenic byway that traverses the stunning Ozark Mountains, making it highly accessible for travelers. Harrison, a vibrant gateway city to the Ozarks and the Buffalo National River, is just minutes away from the campground, offering convenient access to local amenities and services.
For those familiar with Arkansas's natural attractions, Highway 7 is a well-known route, providing a picturesque drive. The campground's position on this highway means easy navigation for RVs and trailers, avoiding complicated rural roads. While one past review mentioned a perception that the river was closer, it's important to clarify that the Buffalo National River, while the namesake, is approximately 6-7 miles down the road (or a short drive), not directly adjacent to every campsite. This still allows for quick access to various river entry points and hiking trails within the National River area.
The proximity to Harrison (just 7 miles away) means campers have easy access to grocery stores, gas stations, local restaurants, and other businesses for any supplies or dining needs. Furthermore, the campground is situated between Jasper and Harrison, providing a central location for exploring different facets of the Ozarks. While the Buffalo National River itself offers primitive campgrounds, Buffalo River Campground provides a more developed experience with convenient hookups and facilities, serving as an excellent base for exploring the region's natural beauty.

Buffalo River Campground Reviews
This place is absolutely beautiful but bring roach spray. We saw German roaches ( the bad kind) outside crawling on our cement pad. Bathrooms were very nice and they have laundry facilities.
June 22 · Amy WareIt's a good place besides the small space and trees and the spot that was given to us we couldn't get in due to power lines and the biggest reason we picked this spot was the website shows the river like it's by the camp grounds which is 7 miles down the road.
May 26 · George SingletaryReally convenient place to pull off and stay, right off 7south. Campsites are easy to pull into, each one has a direct hook up for sewer, nice new bathhouse. Very easy to book your stay and good customer service when I had an additional question. The best part is the convince to everything you want to do in the area like floating, hiking, biking and climbing.
March 26 · Jenny DillonNice place and good people easy to pull in has 50 or 30 amp hook up and water. River is a couple miles south of it and town is a few min down the road. And plenty of shade! I will come back.
March 27 · Rehobath FarmsWhat an amazing area with some of the best natural views in the state 😍
