Bubba J's RV Park

400 E Jefferson Ave, Nason, IL 62816, USA

4.0
I stumbled upon Bubba J’s while heading south from Chicago, needing a place to stay for the night. Sitting at a generic restaurant, I looked up spots and saw Bubba J’s pop up repeatedly with decent enough reviews and nearby restaurant. I decided to take a chance—and I’m so glad I did.The location is just a 15(ish) minutes from the interstate, assuming you're not an idiot like myself and miss a turn or two. The restaurant was full of locals, and they were some of the friendliest folks you’ll meet. I asked for a pizza, only to be told, “A) the kitchen is closed, and B) never mind—let me get you one right quick.” That kind of hospitality was something I'm used to in the South, but not in Illinois. As for the RV space itself, it was perfect. I can imagine it being a fantastic summer camping destination for locals, but for me, it worked just as well as an overnight stop hundreds of miles from home.I typically look for one-stop-only places, but Bubba J’s is officially on my “must-stop” list every time I head north. Thanks, Bubba J’s—you brought a big smile to a tired face that night. - Ian Andrusyk
